    Catania - Syracuse

    Start the morning at Catania's Cathedral and then head to Castello Ursino. After that, it's on to Syracuse where you'll walk through the Teatro Greco and the Archaeological Museum to see Greek and Roman artifacts. Later you'll wander the old town, passing the Temple of Apollo and crossing Piazza Archimede to reach the Fountain of Artemis. The day ends at the Arethusa spring where you can see where locals gather.

    Pantalica - Noto - Ragusa Ibla

    You'll drive across the Hyblaean Mountains to reach Pantalica, the necropolis where the Siculi buried their dead from the 13th to 8th century BC. Then head to Noto around lunchtime to see its bright Baroque architecture. Later you'll continue to Ragusa Ibla, the lower town rebuilt in Baroque style after the 1693 earthquake.

    The tour guide was great, organized, highly motivated, extensive knowledge. The hotels were ok, the rooms varied, obviously the cheap option within the hotels. The choice of flights was catastrophic. Instead of direct flights, there were stopovers with long waiting times, we were practically on the road for a whole day each time. The flight from Vienna to Edinborough also had to be rebooked, but this was not the responsibility of the travel agency.
