  We booked the tour with hesitation after seeing that it wasn't well-received in a previous review, but the tour exceeded our expectations. We started in Central Europe and visited Transylvania, flew from Bucharest to Istanbul, and then flew to Cappadocia. It was our first small group, and we socialized and met new people in Istanbul and Cappadocia. The hotels were good, the one in Istanbul could have been a little better, our guides were incredibly knowledgeable, especially the Istanbul and Bosphorus tour was very enjoyable.Show more

  We found the 9 day tour good in that it covered many locations in the shortest time possible. We found many of the local guides very good. There is a lot of on road travelling so be prepared for this. The accommodation ranges from very good to average, but all comfortable for a night. All transfers to airport and flights were well organised and on time. Just be aware that local flights have a 15kg checked in luggage limit, so travel light or arrange storage.Show more

  Our HALF DAY tour of Istanbul was 55 MINUTES.. We ONLY toured the Blue Mosque, and on the way a historical area where at some point in history they had chariot races. I will give the city guide the benefit of the doubt and say he spoke to us in total 25 minutes. The rest of the 55 minutes we were standing in the queue or on our own. After the Blue Mosque the guide stated this was the end for the people on the HALF day tour and pointed in the direction of the Grand Market. One other unpleasant time was at the meeting point at the Istanbul airport. Apparently, we were not given the contact point for our arrival in Turkey. This resulted in much confusion and stress as communication was very difficult. On this day we were picked up at our hotel in Bucharest, driven to the airport, flight to Istanbul was 1.5 hours. We FINALLY reached the hotel in Istanbul at 8:30 p.m.Show more

  The first part of the trip our guide was informative from Budapest to Bucharest. The cleanliness of the drivers vehicle was unacceptable. Both my partner and I received numerous bug bites. I know it’s acceptable to smoke in Europe, but he had to stop many times to smoke. Once we got to the Istanbul airport to find our driver, there was an issue. We never received the point of contact where to meet, after about 45 minutes of us trying to get a hold of Adjinis travel company with no cellular service finally we logged into the airport Wi-Fi and the issue was resolved. It was a long day 9 1/2 hours till we got to our hotel in Istanbul. This was what was advertised for our tour for the day in Istanbul After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, pick up for a half day guided city tour of Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks. Visit the magnificent Hagia Sophia, explore the stunning Sultan Ahmet Blue Mosque, and discover the historic Hippodrome. Experience the bustling atmosphere of the Grand Bazaar. Conclude your day by enjoying the vibrant nightlife of Istanbul. The only thing we were able to tour was the Blue Mosque. It took a little bit over an hour and then we had to walk back to our hotel room. There was no transportation back to our hotel. Speaking of the hotel, they gave us a totally different hotel then what was advertised. It was a two star hotel. The hotel they told us was a five star hotel. So disappointing. They assured us that the vehicle issue will not be repeated. However, smoking addiction among long distance tourism staff is unfortunately a common problem and it is almost impossible to find non smoking guides in that particular region. Istanbul Airport: To help you avoid losing time at the airport, we had also shared a visual guide. If you had asked an airport staff member, they would have easily directed you. Alternatively if connecting to the internet had come to mind earlier, our team is available 24/7 to assist guests promptly. Hotel: As mentioned in the program, in case the primary hotel is fully booked, we arrange an alternative 4 star hotel located on the city’s main avenue, a location most guests enjoy. That’s why we chose that property. We’re not sure whether you were given a substandard room, but we have forwarded your feedback to the hotel as well. Flights: How was your flight experience? We always make an effort to choose quality airlines and we hope you were satisfied with your flights. Taking your comments into account, we believe that if these details had been shared with us during your trip, we would have had the chance to improve your experience.   This was not a consistent, guided tour from start to end. If you are looking for a pieced together itinerary with varying tour operators, and prefer to manage the itinerary yourself,you are likely to enjoy this program. Be sure to get Ajdinis Travel's contact details at the start of the tour to help with any problems or suggestions along the way. Once I was in contact with Ajdinis, they communicated regularly and were very supportive when I identified some issues with the tour operator they had engaged for the first 4 days of this itinerary. The activities included were great and once I understood this was being run as a private, self directed and pieced together itinerary, my expectations were lowered and I enjoyed the tour more. The hotel locations for the first 6 days weren't in / close to the old centres which was disappointing when wanting to leisurely walk around and find restaurants and shops. From Istanbul onwards, the hotel locations were perfect!Show more
