- Day 1
Salzburg
You'll arrive in Salzburg and get your rental bikes sorted right away. The rest of the day is yours to wander around the fortress and old town whenever you feel like it. Take things at your own pace since you're just settling in. One night here to recover before the cycling starts tomorrow.

- Day 2
Salzburg to Trumer Lakes / Wallersee
Your cycle tour kicks off today following the Salzach river toward Oberndorf, the birthplace of 'Silent Night'. Stop by the Silent Night Museum in Arnsdorf, then continue on to Michaelbeuern Abbey. From there you'll ride through the Trumer-Seen-Land area, passing by Obertrumer See, Mattsee, and Grabensee with partial views of Wallersee in the distance. You'll spend the night near one of these lakes.

- Day 3
Trumer Lakes / Wallersee to Mondsee
Today's route takes you through the Egelseen nature reserve and then on to Schleedorf. After that, head toward the scenic Irrsee lake before reaching Mondsee. If you're interested, there's a castle and Rauchhaus in Mondsee worth checking out, but they're optional. You'll stay one night at Mondsee.

Mondsee to Traunsee
Start by cycling along the Mondsee shore to reach the Attersee. Depending on when you're traveling, you might take a boat across Attersee in July or August, or you'll cycle along the shoreline instead. Push through the Aurachtal valley to get to Traunsee, stopping in Gmunden to see Orth Castle and their ceramics factory. Continue to Altmünster where there's a cycling museum, and then Traunkirchen with the Fischerkanzel. One night at Traunsee.

- Day 5
Traunsee to Bad Goisern area
Catch a train from Lake Traunsee up to Obertraun (bike transportation included). From there, you can visit the Dachstein ice caves if you want to, then cycle along the lake to Hallstatt, that famous lake town with the oldest salt mine. Head on to Bad Goisern or one of the nearby towns for your overnight stay.

- Day 6
Bad Goisern area to Lake Wolfgangsee
Begin in Bad Ischl with time to check out the Imperial Park, Imperial Villa, or Sissi's Teahouse if they appeal to you. Then cycle along the Ischler Ache toward Lake Wolfgangsee. You'll pass through St. Wolfgang (famous for the White Horse Inn and its parish church), and there's a cog railroad up Schafberg if you're interested. Continue through Strobl and Abersee where you can see the Zinkenbachklamm gorge, then reach St. Gilgen, Mozart's birthplace village. One night at Lake Wolfgangsee.

- Day 7
Lake Wolfgangsee to Salzburg
Cycle from St. Gilgen to the deep blue Fuschlsee, then continue through Tiefbrunnau past Hintersee and through Strubklamm gorge into the Wiestal valley with its reservoir. You'll go through Glasenbachklamm gorge into the Salzach valley, and shortly before reaching Salzburg, there's an optional stop at Hellbrunn Palace with its park, zoo, and trick fountains. End the day in Salzburg, the festival and Mozart city with its fortress and old town.
