We scheduled a tour including Switzerland and Austria with Trafalgar Tours thru a travel agent of the AAA in Roseville. The trip was scheduled for June 13-20, 2020. We paid via VISA a $400.00 deposit on 1/15/20 and $6306.24 on 2/28/20 for a total of $6706.24. We were subsequently notified that the trip had been cancelled due to COVID. My wife spoke with the agent and requested a refund. She was informed that a refund would not be given by Trafalgar Tours. They were willing to credit us for the same tour in 2021 when the new list of tours was available. We received the list of 2021 tours which did not include an equivalent tour that we had purchased. Around January 20, 2021, my wife communicated with the agent and again requested a refund. My wife was instructed to correspond with Trafalgar Tours thru the agent by writing an email explaining the reason for requesting a refund. On February 17, 2021, the agent informed us the Trafalgar Sales Manager stated the request had to go through the AAA Director of Supplier Relations. On March 15, the agent notified us that Trafalgar will not refund our money and that they “will not budge with their policy”. We have filed a dispute with VISA credit card company for refund of the money that Trafalgar Tours refuses to return. Hopefully this will be resolved without seeking legal assistance.

Me and my partner was devastated with the service offered by the tour director as we did not obtain much local information about the places of interests, language and worse even we did not get clear information of when the meeting time was as it constantly changed. The tour itinerary was good as it covered many places with great scenery, but unfortunately we had to come back and read up many of the local information ourselves. During the trip on the coach, the tour director kept telling us irrelevant stories about other guests from his previous tours before. Additionally, when one of the guests on the tour tried to use the emergency toilets on the tour, the tour director started to relate it to the James Bond movie stating how another driver previously got a fine by releasing the contents of the toilets instead of car petrol which is similar to the movie. Some of the tour members felt really uncomfortable and offended by this. On top of this, we were never told when the next toilet stop would be. I did not expect to this to be on a Trafalgar brand tour, but unfortunately despite previous word of mouth by our family, we do not look forward to signing up on another awful experience again. Not surprisingly, at the end of the trip, the tour director offered free transportation prior to the allocated departure time of 8am to only 3 guests, but when me and my partner asked to join for the same departure as our flights were 15 minutes later from the 3 guests, we were rejected and were told to pay. This made us feel discriminated against. It was not the first time we have experienced discrimination during this tour, as when the tour director passed out the souvenir photographs, he gave the front row couples 2 photos each, but when he came nearer to us he mentioned that he would only provide one per couple, we politely asked for two and then the tour director started questioning me and my partner's relationship status which was irrelevant and disrespectful. It was not only us who got discreminated against, as there was another guest on the tour that was on crutches, when the tour director was asked to slow down slightly, he responded with "they'll catch up". I do not believe this is the service that Trafalgar advertises and endorses, hence I urge them to critically investigate further. The

Purchased airfare thru company but wasn't told seats couldn't be reserved on Swiss air portion of flight until DAY OF at the airport!!! Would have paid more if I'd been told in advance. Was told by 'manager' twice when complaining about this that excursion vouchers would be added to account. NEVER HAPPENED!! Emailed Trafalgar several times during trip about vouchers and NEVER received a response (even though site said response would be forthcoming in ONE BUSINESS DAY!!). Had asked about time spent on bus and this was misrepresented as well. Hotels during itinerary varied WILDLY from DUMPS to wonderful. Many uncomfortable nights spent without air-conditioning. Felt excursion prices were high based on actual experience received. Would never recommend traveling with Trafalgar!
