Chenonceau - Chambord - Limoges
After a morning walk through Amboise, visit Château du Clos Lucé where Leonardo da Vinci lived out his final years. Head over to Château de Chenonceau, built right across the river (your ticket's included). Then tackle Chambord, the Loire Valley's largest castle, and you'll have access to the park. Later, travel into central France to Limoges and walk through the historic center to see Saint Etienne Cathedral.

Lourdes
Spend your day in Bordeaux, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visiting the famous Water Mirror and wandering through the historic old town with its pedestrian streets and 11th-century cathedral. You'll have free time to stroll along the Garonne River banks and find lunch at one of the riverside restaurants. Start your morning in Strasbourg by walking through the medieval old town and seeing the Gothic cathedral up close. After that, take a boat trip through the canals of Petite France where the architecture really shows off the region's history. You'll then head across into Germany and drive through the Black Forest, stopping in Freiburg around lunch time to grab something to eat and walk around the university center, which has a nice energy to it. Later in the afternoon, continue to Triberg to check out Germany's highest waterfalls before passing through Gengenbach, a charming town that's worth a quick look. By evening, you'll arrive in Baden-Baden for your overnight stay.
