  We requested pre and post nights accommodation at Praga Hotel in Madrid which was approved and for this to be added to our booking. On the afternoon of 4th July (tour ended after breakfast) we booked a tour to Toledo. That evening we were hassled by the hotel staff to say we didn’t have a booking and in the morning that it wasn’t paid for. Europamundo had included our pre booking and not our post booking in our total booking fee and this was not communicated correctly to us. It was a stressful situation and we told the hotel we would get in touch with them to clarify it and get back to them which we did. It was eventually resolved. I requested Europamundo to pay with my credit details they already had for me. The second day at Praga the cleaning lady took my pyjama top ‘for some strange reason’ and left my pyjama pants on top of my pillow! This didn’t turn up and on our return on the night of 3rd July they upgraded us to a better room. I would like to give Frey our English speaking guide 5 stars. He was an excellent communicator, very personal and helpful, especially at the end of the tour when there were only 3 of us left from our original group (there was a lot of interchanging with other tour groups) on our return to Madrid. The most stressful situation was the ‘race horse’ local tour guide at Alcazar Palace. The sudden downpour of rain on arrival didn’t help and later there was a meeting point for everyone in a main room where we had arrived early. From then on she took off like a ‘bolt of lightening’. We saw her on the other side of a narrow walkway in the next room and were caught up behind a tour group who wouldn’t let us past. Then we saw her again on the upper area in the outside garden not looking back. We couldn’t catch up to her and by the time we arrived at the coach it had departed. We’re in our 70’s and fit for our age. When we found the tourist office they pointed us in the opposite direction for the local bus and then we asked someone who helped us find it. We then got the bus to the town centre and had to get a cab back to our accommodation. I am well travelled and have been on many other tours, but I have to say I’ve never been left stranded like this before.
