Complete Disaster of a Tour with Europamundo– New York and Washington DC Our recent experience with Europamundo (booked via Cox & Kings) was nothing short of appalling, and I feel compelled to warn other travelers before they fall into the same trap. I was sold the New York & Washington DC package by Cox and Kings Delhi office. However the tour operator coordinating all operations in the US was Europamundo, which is a Spanish company. Hotel Disgrace in New York – The hotel allotted to us wasn’t even close to a 3-star standard; in fact, calling it a 2-star would be generous. Despite reaching the property by 2 PM (with check-in time at 3 PM), the front desk made us wait until 4 PM to get a room, and that too only after repeated reminders and arguments. Clearly, Cox & Kings and Europamundo had not properly confirmed our reservation, leaving us stranded and humiliated. Fraudulent Room Allocation – The room finally allotted to us (No. 2206) had a defective washroom exhaust. The hotel technician & front desk openly admitted that the entire row of rooms had the same issue and that the management was fully aware of it. In other words, Europamundo/Cox & Kings and the hotel deliberately assigned a known faulty room to us. This is outright cheating and amounts to fraud against paying customers. False Advertising of Language Support – The majority of the tours, guides, and instructions were conducted in Arabic and Spanish to suit the bulk of the other guests. This was blatant mis-selling, as we were promised an English-speaking package. Selling something and delivering the exact opposite is not just poor service — it’s dishonest. Complete Disregard for Food Preferences – The company had assured that lunch stops would be made at places offering multi-cuisine options. Despite clearly stating our Vegan requirements well in advance, no effort whatsoever was made by the tour coordinators or guides to accommodate us. We were left with practically nothing to eat, while others enjoyed their meals. This shows a complete lack of planning, empathy, and professionalism. Abandoned at Departure – To add insult to injury, no airport transfer was arranged for our departure, despite informing the company of our itinerary ahead of time. This forced us to scramble for last-minute transport, adding unnecessary stress at the end of an already miserable trip. In summary: Both Europamundo and Cox & Kings failed us at every stage — hotel, logistics, communication, food, and basic customer respect. What they delivered was not just incompetence, but deceptive practices, negligence, and a total lack of accountability. I strongly caution anyone considering this company: stay away.Show more
