You'll land at Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo where your English-speaking driver will be waiting for you. From there, it's a transfer to your hotel for check-in. Settle in for the evening and get some rest after your journey.

Antananarivo to Sainte Marie
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll head to the airport for a 1-hour flight to Sainte Marie. This island sits off Madagascar's east coast and feels like stepping into another world. Once you land, transfer to your hotel and check in to get settled.

- Day 3
Sainte Marie
This morning you'll head out to the harbor for a whale watching trip in the Sainte Marie Channel. You'll board a boat with an experienced crew and look for humpback whales in their natural breeding ground, which is one of the top whale watching spots anywhere. Once you're back at the harbor, your driver will take you back to the hotel.

Sainte Marie
This day is yours to explore Sainte Marie at your own pace. You can hike the trail to Pointe à Lonjo through lush rainforest or head over to the islet Île aux Nattes. The trails here offer nice views and plenty of time to wander around on your schedule.

Sainte Marie to Andasibe
You'll get a transfer to the airport for your flight to Antananarivo. After landing, your driver meets you for the 4-hour drive to Andasibe. The road goes through developing areas with some unpaved sections, so the journey takes time. When you arrive at your lodge, you'll check in and settle for the evening.

- Day 6
Andasibe
Start the day with a guided walk through Analamazaotra National Park to look for different lemur species. After lunch, you'll head to Vakona Reserve where you can see tamed lemurs, particularly the Diademed Sifakas. Later in the afternoon, you'll walk through Andasibe Village and check out the local market, which has clean paths and organized stalls selling various goods.

Andasibe to Antananarivo
Following breakfast, you'll explore Voimma Forest to spot lemurs you might have seen the day before. Then you'll start heading back toward Antananarivo, stopping at Reserve Peyreiras Exotic for close-up photography of Madagascar's wildlife, including chameleons, butterflies, and snakes. You'll reach your hotel in Antananarivo by evening and check in.

Antananarivo
This morning you'll visit the sacred King's Palace on Royal Hill of Ambohimanga, a UNESCO-recognized site that gives you perspective on local history and culture. The palace once belonged to King Andrianampoinimerina from 1787 to 1810. After exploring the site, your driver will get you to Ivato Airport in time for your departure flight.
