The accommodation on tour is as follows: Hotels (11 nights), overnight sleeper train (1 night), Hakka guesthouse (2 nights). This is based on twin-share so three travellers cannot be roomed together. The cost per person is the same per person ($1799). I would like to read more reviews on this trip option but from >13000 reviews the webpage is showing only 3. From them only 1 from 2024 and inadequate (talking about 8 days while the trip offer is for 15 days). Would you pls help with this?

Loved my China trip with Tom as tour guide. He can be very eccentric but he's a good guide who knows his way in China (local guide). With him and my group the days I spent in China were really enjoyable and fun! If you have any questions he knows the answers, especially if you got a special diet (vegetarian, vegan, no gluten) he can help communicate to the people there. After the tour I could travel China by myself (Chongqing, Shanghai) without any troubles and I enjoyed the cities and the country too! Be sure to have Alipay activated and a working VPN for China as most apps are blocked like WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok too. If you want to know more about China I recommend RedNotes to get in touch with locals and learn more about the culture 🇨🇳❤️Show more

  Yes, that's correct. Deposits are non-refundable, even if you cancel shortly after booking and still outside of the 30-day cancellation fee period. However, you don't lose the deposit- it remains on your profile indefinitely and can be applied toward a future booking when you're ready to travel.
  
  The My Own Room option is USD 549. Please note that nights 11 and 12 are exceptions, as single rooms are not available for those evenings.

  What is the best time of year for this tour? Is it difficult to purchase activities that are available but not included in the tour price, such as Cycling the Xi'an City Wall and the Giant Panda Breeding Center? When I ask whether it's difficult, I mean how likely will the various activities be sold out and not available.

  I don't see any specific hotels or other lodging indicated anywhere on the itinerary. I see now that the recommended age is up to 39 years old. I am 54. Although I don't have much hair left on my head, I am very active and physically fit. I think I will be fine on this trip. Do you have people older than 39 take this trip regularly?

Payment information
- For any tour departing before July 6th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after July 6th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with G Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
