Your private driver meets you at Bangkok Airport and takes you to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day walking through the city's colorful markets and trying street food at your own pace. Get a feel for the energy and chaos of Bangkok before your organized activities begin.

Bangkok
After breakfast at your hotel, your guide joins you for a visit to the Grand Palace. You'll walk through the palace grounds and see different sections used for various royal occasions. The Emerald Buddha sits as the most revered Buddhist image in Thailand, and you'll get a close look at this sacred figure and understand its spiritual significance.

Bangkok to Kanchanaburi
Following breakfast, you'll transfer to Kanchanaburi to explore wartime history. The Jeath War Museum and Cemetery provide context about the region's role in World War II. After that, you board a 30-minute train ride along the river to Ban Kao, then head to the River Kwai bridge to see this historical structure firsthand.

Kanchanaburi
Bring your hiking shoes and swimsuit for Erawan National Park. You'll walk through trails spanning 212 square miles and come across caves and multiple waterfalls. The main waterfall, Erawan, gets its name from Hindu mythology and gives you a chance to swim in the cool water after your hike.

Kanchanaburi to Ayutthaya to Chiang Mai
The drive to Ayutthaya takes over an hour from Bangkok. Once there, you'll ride around the ancient capital in a tuk tuk, checking out temple ruins like Wat Yai Chaimongkol and Wat Mahathat. The Bang Pa-In Summer Palace shows off a mix of European, Khmer, Thai, and Chinese architecture. Later that evening, you'll catch an overnight train to Chiang Mai from Bang Pa-In Train station.

You might walk through art galleries east of the Ping River, wander the markets and try local food, visit temples, or book a spa or Thai massage to relax after your travels.

- Day 7
Chiang Mai
You'll drive through scenic paddy fields and countryside to reach the pagodas built by the Royal Thai air force for the King and Queen. From the viewpoints, you can see mountain views in all directions. After that, visit a Karen hill tribe village and browse the hill tribe market. The Mae Klang Luang Nature trail takes you through forest and past Pa Dok Siew Waterfall. Stop at a local coffee house to try freshly roasted coffee from the hills.

Chiang Mai
Pickup happens around 7:00 am for the 1.5-hour drive south through hills and farming areas to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. You'll change into traditional Karen clothes and learn about the elephants. Then you'll feed and play with them, join a mud spa, and bathe them in the river. A traditional meal is included before you head back to Chiang Mai in the late afternoon.

Phuket
Phuket sits on the Andaman Coast with tropical rainforests, palm-fringed beaches, and limestone cliffs scattered throughout. The day is completely open to what you want to do. Head to the beach to sunbathe or swim, try snorkeling in the water, visit the aquarium, or zipline through jungle canopy. For dinner, you could eat fresh seafood, browse the night market, or grab a drink on the busy Bangla Road.
