  Which flight should I book from Tana to Morondava? I see only flight return flight to Tana offered by Air Madagascar.

  I'm interested in this tour and doing some time in April, but I am a solo traveller. Would I be able to join this Tsingy of Bemaraha Tour or is this for private groups only?

    You are very welcome to join this tour in April. The tour is open to both solo travelers and groups, so you can proceed with the booking without any concerns.
    
    Please note that access to Tsingy de Bemaraha will reopen from the last week of April. Before that period, access is not possible as the road conditions remain difficult following the heavy rains in January and February. Although the rainy season has ended, the road is still challenging.

    So does that mean that this tour will not be able to visit Tsingy before the last week of April? If so since Tsingy is a key part of this tour what will replace that part of the tour?

    Each year, rainfall in the Tsingy de Bemaraha region is generally heavy. However, this year the area has received less rain than usual. It may possibly become accessible in early April, but at this stage nothing is guaranteed.
    
    As an alternative to visiting Tsingy, we propose replacing it with a visit to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park.
    
    The revised itinerary would be as follows:
    
    • Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo, transfer to the hotel.
    • Day 2: Drive to Andasibe. Visit Peyrieras Reptile Reserve, followed by a night walk in Andasibe-Mantadia National Park.
    • Day 3: Morning visit in Andasibe National Park, then visit Vakona Private Reserve. Drive back to Antananarivo.
    • Day 4: Domestic flight to Morondava. Upon arrival, visit Kimony Reserve, then drive to Kirindy Forest for a night walk.
    • Day 5: Morning visit in Kirindy Forest, drive back to Morondava, and sunset visit at Avenue of the Baobabs.
    • Day 6: Morondava. Visit Betania fishing village, then visit Zazamalala Reserve.
    • Day 7: Domestic flight back to Antananarivo. Upon arrival, visit Lemurs' Park.
    • Day 8: Morning city tour, souvenir shopping, visit the Rova of Antananarivo, then transfer to the airport.
    
    We will keep this itinerary as Option B in case Tsingy de Bemaraha remains inaccessible.

  On Tour Radar this tour is described as "medium intensity." Would you please advise more detail on typical walks and hikes such as length, terrain, elevation, climate, etc.

    1. Kirindy Reserve (Day 3)
    * Terrain: Flat, loose sand (dry deciduous forest).
    * Length: 3–5 km (2–3 hours).
    * Climate: Intense dry heat (up to 35°C). Shade is limited.
    * Difficulty: Easy to Moderate (due to heat and soft sand).
    
    2. Grand Tsingy of Bemaraha (Day 4)
    * Terrain: Sharp limestone pinnacles, narrow crevices, and caves. Includes ladders and a suspension bridge (70m high).
    * Length: 4–6 km (4–5 hours due to verticality).
    * Climate: Very hot; rocks radiate heat.
    * Difficulty: Hard / Technical. Requires a harness (provided) and sturdy boots. Not for those with severe vertigo or claustrophobia.
    
    3. Baobab Alley (Day 5)
    * Terrain: Flat dirt road.
    * Length: Minimal walking (<1 km).
    * Climate: Sunny but pleasant at sunset (approx. 24°C).
    * Difficulty: Very Easy.
    
    4. Highlands: Tana & Ambohimanga (Day 7-8)
    * Terrain: Hilly, paved paths, and many urban stone stairs.
    * Altitude: 1,250m to 1,450m (thinner air).
    * Climate: Temperate/Cool (12°C–24°C). Much fresher than the West.
    * Difficulty: Moderate (steep inclines and stairs).

    What do we do for other meals, especially when we are in the parks. Are there restaurants, or do we buy meals from the lodges? Is drinking water readily available for purchase?

    Regarding meals, lunch will always be served at your lodge or hotel. For example, in Tsingy de Bemaraha, all timings are carefully arranged to ensure that lunch is served no later than 1:00 PM.
    
    Drinking water will be fully provided throughout the trip. We supply 1.5 liters of bottled water per person per day. Should you wish to have more, additional bottles are easily available for purchase, even in remote areas.

    In your email, it stated that the trip "ends in Tsingy de Bemaraha Nat. Pk.", Wed. Sept.9, but the itinerary shows a return flight to Antenanarivo on Sept. 7 for the final 2 days. Just want to clarify that the itinerary hasn't changed. Second question - Do we book the flights, or do you?

    The tour will start and end in Antananarivo. The visit to Bemaraha National Park is indeed included in the tour. You'll take the domestic flight to Antananarivo on Day 6 (September 7), and during the last two days, you'll enjoy visits to Lemurs Park, Ambohimanga Rova, and a city tour of Antananarivo. Regarding the domestic flight, you'll need to make the booking directly on the Madagascar Airlines website.

In this case, the tour would be conducted privately for you, but still charged at the group rate (unless others join on the same date). I recommend the following travel window: Start of tour: August 29, End of tour: September 5. Please note that you will be responsible for booking the domestic flights: Antananarivo → Morondava: August 30, Morondava → Antananarivo: September 4.
