Itinerary
- Day 1
Trier
You'll pick up your rental bikes in Trier and have the day to explore the old town on your own schedule. The Porta Nigra is the main Roman gate and quite impressive, then there's the Imperial Baths, an amphitheater, and the cathedral scattered throughout the center. It's a great way to get comfortable on the bike before heading out on the longer route tomorrow.

- Day 2
Trier to Trittenheim
Your first cycling day takes you along the Moselle cycle path from Schweich toward Mehring, and you'll pass the ruins of Villa Rustica along the route. From there, continue on to Trittenheim. If wine interests you, there's an optional tasting available in the evening at a family-run winery, which is a nice way to end the day.

- Day 3
Trittenheim to Zeltingen
Cycle through Neumagen-Dhron, which is actually Germany's oldest wine village and worth taking time to look around. You'll break for lunch at the market square in Bernkastel-Kues, then head to Zeltingen. The town's known for a famous sundial, so keep an eye out for it when you arrive.

- Day 4
Zeltingen to Zell
You'll cycle through the Kröver Nacktarsch wine region heading toward Traben-Trarbach, then pass through Enkirch on your way to Zell. The scenery through the vineyards is nice, and there's an optional boat trip on the Moselle if you want a break from cycling and a different perspective of the valley.

- Day 5
Zell to Treis-Karden
This day takes you to Beilstein first, a small town people call the 'Rothenburg on the Moselle' because of all the narrow alleyways and old architecture. After that, ride to Cochem where you can check out the town center and the 11th-century imperial castle perched above. The route ends in Treis-Karden with its half-timbered buildings standing out nicely along the riverbank.

- Day 6
Treis-Karden to Koblenz
Your final cycling stretch follows the Moselle valley toward Koblenz. Along the way, there's an option to detour to Eltz Castle, which sits above the valley and has impressive medieval architecture plus original furnishings inside. The tour finishes at the Deutsches Eck, where the Rhine meets the Moselle, and it's a good spot to reflect on the week before heading out.
