Itinerary

Pretoria to Middelburg
Check in at Rovos Rail Station by 9 a.m. and board the luxury train around 10 a.m. for your journey eastwards to Middelburg, known as the stainless steel capital of Africa. You're starting an 11-night rail adventure traveling on the historic eastern line that was built between 1893 and 1895.

Panorama Route
Spend the full day exploring the Panorama Route region. You'll walk through Pilgrim's Rest, check out Bourke's Luck Potholes, and stop in Graskop with lunch included. By afternoon you'll head back to the train in Mbombela, then depart towards Malelane.

Kruger National Park
After an early breakfast, you have a full day on a game drive in Kruger National Park, one of Africa's largest game reserves. You'll track the Big Five (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard) across subtropical bush savannah. Later in the afternoon you'll return to the train and continue towards Mozambique.

Maputo - Eswatini
Following breakfast, take a city tour of Maputo, Mozambique's capital on the Indian Ocean. You'll see the contrast between Portuguese colonial architecture and modern high-rise buildings. Return to the train for afternoon tea, then cross the border into Eswatini (formerly Swaziland).

Eswatini - Hoedspruit
After breakfast, transfer to the Swazi Candles factory to watch artisans craft decorative candles by hand. Then head to the Mantenga Cultural Village for insights into traditional local life. You'll return to the train in early afternoon and depart for Hoedspruit with afternoon tea and dinner served aboard.

Kapama Game Reserve

Victoria Falls
Arrive at Victoria Falls train station and check out around 10 a.m., then walk a short distance to the Victoria Falls Hotel. Take a walk to see Victoria Falls, one of the world's greatest natural wonders. In the afternoon, take a boat trip on the Zambezi River to round off your journey, ending at the Victoria Falls Hotel around 6:30 p.m.
