Rio de Janeiro
You'll land at Rio de Janeiro International Airport where a local guide meets you and takes you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to get settled and start getting a feel for the city with its mountains and coastal views.

- Day 2
Rio de Janeiro
This morning you'll head out on a half-day city tour. You'll drive through Copacabana to Urca, then ride cable cars up Sugarloaf Mountain for 360 degree views of the city and coast. After that, you'll see the Metropolitan Cathedral and check out the colorful Selarón Staircase before heading back to your hotel for a relaxing afternoon.

Rio de Janeiro
You'll drive to the Corcovado valley station early in the day, then take a scenic cog railroad for 20 minutes up to the 730m summit where the Christ statue sits. Once you've taken in the city views, you'll ride back down and spend time at the white sandy beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon before returning to your hotel with the afternoon free.

You'll fly to Iguazu in the morning. After arriving and getting to your hotel, you'll take a guided tour of the Brazilian side of the falls with views from a platform near Devil's Gorge, where the mist and spray and sound of the water surround you completely.

Landmarks Iguazu Falls Devil's Gorge (Garganta del Diablo) - Day 5
Iguazu
You'll cross the Tancredo Neves Bridge into Argentina to see the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls. This side offers more hands-on hiking than Brazil's panoramic views. You'll hike the lower and upper circular trails up close between individual waterfalls, then take an ecological jungle train to Devil's Gorge station for great viewpoints.

Manaus to Amazon
You'll head to the harbor and board a boat to Amazon Ecopark Lodge, about 30 minutes from Manaus. The lodge houses rescued wildlife including rare endangered monkey species. You'll walk remote jungle trails with naturalist guides to see animals and plants in their habitat, with all meals provided at the lodge.

Amazon
Today you'll see the Meeting of the Waters where the yellow-brown Rio Solimoes from the Andes and the blackwater Rio Negro from the Amazon basin unite. Watch the two rivers flow side by side for miles without mixing, their different colors showing clearly because of different water temperatures, densities and speeds.

Amazon to Manaus
You'll head back to Manaus and take a panoramic drive through this historic Amazon city. You'll visit the Teatro Amazonas opera house, a grand 19th-century building from the city's wealth during the rubber boom. After the city tour, you'll transfer to your hotel for the evening.

Manaus to Salvador da Bahia
You'll fly to Salvador da Bahia, which is known for its role in Afro-Brazilian culture, beautiful beaches and historic colonial architecture. After you arrive, you'll transfer to your hotel and settle in. The city has ornate baroque churches and monasteries from the 17th and 18th centuries throughout its colonial districts.

Salvador da Bahia
You'll take a comprehensive city tour exploring colonial Brazil and Afro-Brazilian history. Starting from Barra with Atlantic Ocean views and the continent's first lighthouse at Saint Antonio Fort, you'll pass through vibrant neighborhoods and reach Pelourinho, one of Europe's largest baroque districts outside Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll walk narrow stone streets, see old churches and buildings, then end at Terreiro de Jesus square. Your afternoon is free to explore on your own.
