Los Angeles to Kingman
Today's a long driving day through Joshua Tree National Park where you'll see the distinctive Joshua trees scattered across the desert landscape. After that, you'll continue on to Kingman. The drive is about 615 km, so you'll have plenty of time to take in the scenery.

Kingman to Williams
You'll drive through Chino Valley and Prescott Valley heading toward Jerome, an old mining town with lots of history. From there, the route takes you through Sedona if weather cooperates, then on to Williams where you'll hit the legendary Route 66. This leg covers roughly 420 km.

Williams to Bryce Canyon
The Grand Canyon is on the agenda today and it lives up to the hype. There's an optional scenic helicopter flight if you want an aerial view. Later you'll head to Page, where there's an optional flight over Horseshoe Bend available. Then you'll drive to Bryce Canyon National Park. The full drive is around 600 km.

Bryce Canyon to St. George
Bryce Canyon is today's focus with its famous 60-meter hoodoos that rise up as stone pinnacles and spires shaped by erosion over time. You'll stop at several viewpoints for photos and there's time to walk some of the hiking trails if you want to get up close. After exploring, you'll drive to St. George, about 245 km.

Las Vegas to Visalia
You'll visit Calico, a former silver mining town in the Mojave Desert, then head through the San Joaquin Valley toward Visalia. The drive shows you different kinds of landscapes and covers about 630 km, so there's a mix of desert and farmland to see.

Visalia to Sacramento
