Calgary
You'll arrive at your Calgary hotel and can settle in whenever suits you. Take a walk through the pedestrian zone to see the western character of the city, or head down to the Bow River for a stroll along the water. Later in the afternoon, your tour guide will meet you back at the hotel to go over what's coming next.

- Day 2
Calgary - Canmore
Breakfast with the group gets the day going, then you'll head out for a Calgary city tour hitting the Calgary Tower, Fort Calgary, and the downtown business district. After that, you'll drive through the rolling prairie landscape along the Trans Canada Highway before entering Banff National Park. The drive through Banff shows off snow-capped mountains, glaciers, and those bright turquoise lakes. It's about 260 km total today.

Banff National Park
This day is more relaxed. You can walk along Banff Avenue and check out the shops and boutiques at your own pace, or if you want something more active, there's an option to head to Lake Louise and the Columbia Icefield where you can ride an Ice Explorer vehicle onto the Athabasca Glacier. So it's either a leisurely shopping and walking day or a full adventure day, your choice.

Canmore - Kamloops
You'll travel the Trans Canada Highway heading west and cross into British Columbia through Kicking Horse Pass. From there you'll see Yoho National Park and Glacier National Park with their ice fields, deep canyons, and thick forests. The route continues through the Monashee and Selkirk Mountains before reaching Kamloops by evening. That's roughly 490 km of driving through some really varied mountain scenery.

Kamloops - Whistler
The drive to Whistler takes you through farmland and then into the coastal mountains, covering about 475 km. Once you arrive, the afternoon and evening are yours to do what you want. There's an option to take a scenic seaplane flight over Garibaldi Park if you're interested, which gives you views of the volcanic landscape, mountain lakes, and high pastures from above.

Whistler - Vancouver
You'll drive the Sea-to-Sky Highway today, which runs past rugged fjords and sharp mountain peaks before you leave the wilderness and reach Vancouver. The city tour covers Stanley Park, English Bay, the historic Gastown neighborhood, Chinatown, and other highlights. It's about 125 km for the drive.

Vancouver
You have the full day to yourself in Vancouver. Stanley Park is right there and worth exploring on foot if you want to see one of Canada's largest parks with views back toward downtown. If you'd rather do something different, there's an optional full-day trip available to Victoria by bus and ferry, where you can check out the parliament building and Butchart Gardens. Either way, it's your call how to spend it.

Vancouver
Head to the Vancouver port in early afternoon to board the Koningsdam from Holland America Line. After getting settled into your cabin, spend the afternoon walking around and getting familiar with the ship's amenities and layout before departure.

Inside Passage
The cruise through the Inside Passage shows you rainforest, small islands, fjords, snow-capped peaks, and rugged coastlines. From the deck you'll likely spot whales, sea lions, and various bird species. The scenery changes throughout the day as you move north.

Tracy Arm Inlet - Juneau
You cruise into Tracy Arm Inlet, a 48 km long fjord where Sawyer Glacier sits at the end with North and South foothills rising on either side. Later you'll arrive in Juneau, a former gold mining town. Head over to the Alaska State Museum to learn about the Russian era and the gold rush period that shaped the region.

Skagway
Skagway takes you back to gold rush days. Walk through the historic boardwalks and look at the restored buildings in Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. Stop by the Red Onion Saloon to get a feel for what the town was like during that era.

Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier
You're heading out on the water today through Endicott Arm and into the Tracy Arm-Fords Wilderness area. The main draw is Dawes Glacier, a 183-meter-high wall of bright blue ice where chunks break off throughout the day. Along the way you'll see waterfalls, jade-colored water, chunks of floating ice, and animals like seals and mountain goats.

Ketchikan
In Ketchikan, you'll notice the distinctive stilt houses built right over the water, reflecting Native American culture and building traditions. Inside Passage
The ship heads south through the Inside Passage, retracing the route back toward Vancouver. As you move down the coast of Alaska and British Columbia, you'll see the landscape gradually shift and warm up from the northern wilderness you saw earlier.
