Castelo Rodrigo - Quinta da Avessada
After cruising to Barca d'Alva, you have the option to return to Castelo Rodrigo with a guided hike if you're interested. Later, you'll taste locally grown produce before heading to Quinta da Avessada for a traditional dinner and entertainment. This interactive museum explores the wine history and production of Alto Douro, and wine tastings are included.

A guided hike option exists for those wanting more activity. Throughout the day, you'll sample local specialties like bolas de Lamego, presunto ham, and Espumante sparkling wine. The day concludes with a traditional Portuguese lunch at a local quinta in Regua.

You'll visit the Cathedral, one of the city's oldest monuments, and the iconic Sao Bento Railway Station with its famous blue and white tile panels showing Portuguese history. Either way, you'll have a Port wine tasting (active travelers can do a guided hike first, then taste). The afternoon is yours to explore Porto independently.
