- Day 1
Auckland
You'll arrive in Auckland and meet your Travel Director and group. The first activity takes you on a waterfront tour from the central city to Mission Bay, with stops at Bastion Point and the Michael Joseph Savage Memorial where you'll get nice views across the harbor. Later in the afternoon, you'll gather for a tour briefing and welcome drink to get to know everyone.

This day is all about choice. You can either take a scenic cruise across the Hauraki Gulf on Auckland Harbour, or if rugby interests you, try hands-on interactive rugby skills training to learn what it takes to be an All Black. It's your call on how you want to spend the day.

Auckland to Rotorua
You'll travel through Cambridge on your way to Rotorua, stopping at the National Kiwi Hatchery Aotearoa to see kiwi conservation work firsthand and watch eggs being incubated with newly hatched chicks. Later, you'll visit a Pounamu workshop where skilled artisans show you how jade is crafted and explain its cultural importance in Maori tradition.

Rotorua
Rotorua offers several options to explore. You can visit the Hobbiton Movie Set to walk through the 12-acre Shire, check out Hobbit Holes and the Green Dragon Inn, or skip that for a relaxing two-hour session at Wai Ariki Spa. There's also a World War II amphibious vehicle tour of the lakes, and in the evening you can experience Te Po Indigenous Experience at Te Puia with Maori cultural performance and hangi-inspired food.

You'll head back to Auckland by coach for your flight to Queenstown. The route winds around Lake Wakatipu's shores, giving you good views as you arrive in the adventure capital. Your Travel Director will recommend restaurants for dinner that evening.

Queenstown
This day caters to different interests. Movie fans can take a scenic tour to Glenorchy to see Lord of the Rings filming locations. Wine enthusiasts can join a boutique wine tour sampling Pinot Noir at four Central Otago vineyards. In the evening, everyone can relax on a Lake Wakatipu cruise to Walter Peak Station for a BBQ dinner and farm show.

You'll head to the Mackenzie region with a stop in Cromwell to taste stone fruit at a local orchard stall. Lake Tekapo comes next with its blue water framed by rugged hills and snow-capped mountains, perfect for photos. There you'll see the Church of the Good Shepherd and a bronze collie dog statue honoring the sheepdogs that developed this region. Evening brings an optional stargazing experience at the UNESCO Aoraki McKenzie International Dark Sky Reserve where you can see southern hemisphere constellations including the Southern Cross with a local guide.

Lake Tekapo to Sydney
You have options this morning: catch the sunrise over the lake or sleep in before heading north to Christchurch via Ashburton. Once in Christchurch, you'll say goodbye to New Zealand and board your flight to Sydney, known for its Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Bondi Beach, and The Rocks area.

Scenic World offers the world's steepest passenger railway down to the valley floor. Alternatively, you can do the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb reaching 134 metres above the water.
