- Day 1
Lisbon
You'll land at Lisbon International Airport and get a complimentary transfer straight to your hotel. Once you've settled in and freshened up, your Travel Director will take you to a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. It's a good chance to meet the other people on the tour and get oriented before things really get going.

- Day 2
Lisbon
A Local Expert will guide you through Lisbon's main sights, starting with the Lower Town's wide avenues and shaded squares, then heading up to the Bairro Alto hilltop neighborhood. You'll see Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries in the Belem Quarter, and then take a hands-on cooking class where you'll make Pastéis de Belem. If you're interested, there's an optional evening to experience traditional Fado music and culture.

Lisbon to Lagos
After crossing the River Tagus, you'll head south toward the Algarve coast and reach Lagos, a fishing port in Meia Praia bay. You'll have free time to walk around town before heading to your resort hotel on a 360-acre estate. The location gives you access to specialized Portuguese seafood restaurants nearby with Atlantic views.

- Day 4
Lagos to Évora
You'll travel to Évora, a medieval walled city and UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with cathedrals, churches, aqueducts, and old castle walls. A Local Expert will show you the highlights including the Roman Temple, the Capela dos Ossos (a chapel from the 1600s decorated with 5,000 skulls and bones), and the cathedral mixing Romanesque and Gothic styles. The afternoon is yours to wander the historical center or relax in the city park.

- Day 5
Évora to Monsaraz
You'll travel to Monsaraz, a white village perched on a hilltop surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. There you can explore the castle ruins while looking out across the Spanish plains and Lake Alqueva. A local captain will take you on a boat cruise, then you'll sit down to lunch at Sem Fim restaurant for traditional tapas. Later you'll head back to Évora with your evening free to do as you like.

Évora to Fátima - Tomar
You'll start at Casa Relvas estate for a wine tasting of Portuguese grape varieties like Touriga Nacional, learning about water-saving techniques in the dry Alentejo region. Then it's on to Fátima, Portugal's major pilgrimage site, where you can visit the basilica if you wish. In Tomar you'll pick between two options: tour the UNESCO Convento do Cristo with its octagonal Templars' Rotunda, or take a guided tour of the medieval Synagogue and city.

Tomar to Douro Valley
In Coimbra, a Local Expert will walk you through the Old Town including the University of Coimbra (UNESCO site) with its impressive baroque library. You'll then drive through central Portugal's green hills and vineyards along the Douro River to Quinta da Pacheca. There you'll meet Maria Pimental, one of the first female winemakers in the Douro region, and have a farm-to-table meal while learning about this UNESCO wine area.

- Day 8
Douro Valley to Guimarães - Porto
You'll reach Guimarães, known as the birthplace of Portugal, where you can climb the Visigoth castle for views and walk the cobblestone streets and medieval squares. Then it's on to Porto, where the central district is a UNESCO site. A Local Expert will take you through the iconic São Bento Railway Station with its hand-painted tile work and across the Dom Luís I Bridge, an engineering masterpiece with great views of the Douro River.

Porto
You have a full day in Porto to explore at your own pace. Walk through the colorful neighborhoods and see the churches covered in glazed tiles. Or if you prefer, take a day trip to Braga, known for its baroque architecture. In the evening you have the option to see the pastel houses of the Ribeira district, take a ride on a traditional Rabelo boat, and eat dinner at a riverside restaurant with local flavors.

Porto to Óbidos - Lisbon
You'll head to Óbidos, a fortified medieval town where you can walk inside the old walls along cobblestone streets lined with whitewashed houses and small churches. After exploring, you'll continue back to Lisbon for your final evening. Your Travel Director will arrange a farewell dinner with your fellow travelers to toast to the moments you've all shared during the tour.
