- Day 1
Lisbon
You'll arrive at Lisbon International Airport and get complimentary transfers to your hotel. After settling in, there's time to relax before meeting your Travel Director for a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant. It's a good chance to meet the other travelers on the tour.

- Day 2
Lisbon
This morning you'll take a guided sightseeing tour through Lisbon's Lower Town with a Local Expert, walking through historic Bairro Alto and visiting the iconic Belem Quarter. Then comes a hands-on cooking class where you'll learn to make traditional Pasteis de Belem. If you're interested, there's an optional Fado show with dinner in the evening.

Lisbon to Lagos
You'll cross the River Tagus and head south toward the Algarve coast, arriving in Lagos, a working fishing port. After time exploring the town, you'll continue to your resort hotel on a 360-acre estate. Later, you can check out local Portuguese seafood restaurants nearby that overlook the Atlantic.

- Day 4
Lagos to Évora
Travel to Evora, a medieval walled city and UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll see the Roman Temple, visit the Capela dos Ossos with its 5,000 skulls and bones, and explore the cathedral mixing Romanesque and Gothic styles. The afternoon is free for wandering the historical center or the city park along the aqueduct.

- Day 5
Évora
Head to Monsaraz, a white village on a hilltop surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. From the castle ruins you get spectacular views toward the Spanish plains and Europe's largest artificial lake. You'll take a leisurely boat cruise on Lake Alqueva with a local captain, then have a tapas lunch at a former olive mill. Return to Evora with the evening free.

Évora to Tomar
Start the day at Casa Relvas for a wine tasting of Portuguese grape varieties, learning about their sustainability practices. Then continue to Fatima, Portugal's most important pilgrimage site, where you can visit the basilica or Chapel of the Apparitions. From there, head to Tomar and choose either exploring the UNESCO Convento do Cristo with an expert or taking a guided city tour including the medieval Synagogue of Tomar.

Tomar to Douro Valley
In Coimbra, you'll explore the Old Town with a Local Expert, seeing the UNESCO University of Coimbra and its baroque library. Then travel through green hills and vineyards along the Douro River to Quinta da Pacheca for a farm-to-table meal. You'll learn about the UNESCO-listed Douro Valley wine region from female winemaker Maria Pimental.

Douro Valley to Porto
Journey to Guimaraes, known as Portugal's birthplace, where you can see its Visigoth castle and walk medieval streets. Continue to Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a guided tour of Sao Bento Railway Station with hand-painted azulejo tiles and a walk across Dom Luis I Bridge overlooking the Douro River. Visit Caves Ferreira for Port wine tasting. There's an optional 4-course dinner across four restaurants in the evening.

You have a full day free to explore Porto on your own terms. Wander through the city to see multi-colored houses and churches with glazed tiles. Consider visiting Braga, the baroque capital, or in the evening, take an optional experience viewing Ribeira, cruising on a traditional Rabelo boat, and dining at a riverside restaurant.

Travel to Obidos, a fortified town where you'll walk through medieval walls along cobblestone streets. Then continue to Lisbon for your final evening and join your Travel Director and fellow travelers for a farewell dinner celebrating the trip.
