2-Week Portugal Tour Packages
Portugal in two weeks? See the Azores first, Sete Cidades lakes are unreal, try thermal springs where you can just soak, and visit São Jorge's cliffs that go on forever. Walk to Lajes, check out Angra do Heroísmo, and visit Lisbon for Fado shows. Visit Belém, head over to Madeira and Porto Moniz, before trying Douro Valley wines. Honestly, Portugal does variety better than most countries this size.

14 Day The Azores Itinerary, incl. Sao Miguel and Faial
The 14-day Azores adventure visits Sao Miguel, Sao Jorge, Pico and Faial islands. Hiking highlights include Sete Cidades crater (5km), Caldeira de Cima gorge (10km), and UNESCO vineyards (8.5km). Accommodations at centrally-located Neat Hotel Avedina and Azoris Faial Garden, rated 4.2/5.

- Days 1-4
Sao Miguel Island
Begin in Ponta Delgada and explore this historic harbor city. Head to the famous Sete Cidades twin lakes early in the morning before fog sets in. Stop by Europe's oldest tea plantation at Gorreana and try a traditional Cozido lunch cooked in volcanic fumeroles at Furnas. Take time to relax in Terra Nostra's thermal pools but remember to pack dark swimwear since the mineral water can leave stains.

- Days 5-7
Sao Jorge Island
Fly to the long island of Sao Jorge. The best part is walking down through Caldeira de Cima gorge to Faja dos Cubres. Pack good shoes with grip since the trail gets slippery. A visitor noted: "The hydrangea-lined paths and coastal views made this one of the best walks." On clear days you can hike along Pico da Esperanca ridge for some amazing views.

- Days 8-10
Pico Island
Take a ferry to Pico, where Portugal's highest peak stands tall. Walk through the UNESCO-listed vineyards with their unique volcanic stone walls. One traveler suggested: "Book the optional whale watching early in your stay - trips often get cancelled due to weather so you want flexibility to reschedule." Take the Misterios do Sul coastal trail to see interesting lava formations.

- Days 11-14
Faial Island
Finish your trip on beautiful Faial. Walk around the volcanic caldera rim if weather allows and visit the Capelinhos volcano center. Follow the trail through laurel forests down to Praia do Norte beach. Stay in Horta to watch boats come and go from the marina. The Azoris Faial Garden Hotel is a nice place to end your trip with its ocean views and swimming pools.

13 Day Portugal Itinerary, incl. Lisbon and Madeira
The Portuguese circuit spans 13 days across 12 cities, covering mainland and Madeira Island. Guests stay 4 nights each at Turim Av Liberdade 4* in Lisbon and Orca Praia 3* in Madeira, plus 3 nights at Fenix Porto 4* in Porto. The tour includes internal flights and a memorable Douro Valley wine tasting.

- Days 1-3
Lisbon and Surroundings
Start exploring Lisbon's historic center. Visit the Belém district before 9 AM to avoid crowds at the Tower of Belém and Jerónimos Monastery. Stop for a Pastéis de Belém - a local traveler advises: "Get there before 10 AM when the café opens to avoid the notorious queues for these heavenly custard tarts." Plan your Sintra trip for day 3. Leave Lisbon by 8 AM since parking near Pena Palace fills up after 10 AM. The road to Cabo da Roca is often misty in the morning so plan this stop for the afternoon when coastal views are clearer. Finish your day in Cascais where you can find a quiet dinner spot after 2 PM when most tourists have left.

- Days 4-6
Porto and Douro Valley
Take the morning train to Porto (3 hours from Lisbon). Visit São Bento Station first to see the beautiful azulejos before crowds gather. Walk across Dom Luis I Bridge for great views of Porto's riverfront but be ready for steep climbs. Include a Douro Valley trip early in your Porto stay in case weather affects boat schedules. The one-hour rabelo boat ride shows off the valley's terraced vineyards perfectly. A recent visitor shared: "The winery lunch in Douro Valley was incredible - try the vinho verde, it's so different from regular white wine."

- Day 7
Coastal Towns
- Days 8-11
Madeira Island
- Days 12-13
Final Lisbon Stay
13 Days in Portugal, incl. Lisbon and Porto
A 13-day Portuguese route covers 16 cities across 1,200km. Travelers visit 7 UNESCO sites including Sintra's palaces and Évora's Roman temple, with 9 included experiences from wine tastings to boat rides, staying in carefully selected accommodations.

- Days 1-3
Lisbon & Surrounds
Get to Belém by 8:30 AM to avoid crowds at Pastéis de Belém bakery. Take the coastal route to Cascais and stop at Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point in Europe. Visit Sintra's UNESCO palaces in the afternoon when they're less busy. A tip about Tram 28: It's great for seeing Lisbon but watch your belongings during busy times.

- Days 4-5
Religious Sites & Douro Valley
Travel north to medieval Óbidos and try the local ginja liqueur in chocolate cups. Stop at Nazaré to see its famous giant waves. Visit Alcobaça Monastery to learn about Pedro and Inês's love story before going to Fátima. The next day, see Coimbra University's beautiful library (book online to skip lines) on your way to the Douro Valley.

- Days 6-8
Porto & Northern Portugal
Take a river cruise on a traditional rabelo boat in the Douro Valley (winter cruises might be canceled). A Porto visitor noted: "Finding your way alone through fifteen sites is daunting this tour hits the good spots and avoids the worst." Take the old tram to Vila Nova de Gaia for port wine tasting. The São Bento station with its tiles is worth a visit.

- Days 12-13

What people love about 2-week Portugal tours
- Walking in the Azores
Fantastic trip! Each island is gorgeous in its own way. Our guide,Tania, knows the islands and all the trails and restaurants like the back of her hand. She led our group with kindness and humor. And our fellow travelers couldn’t have been more fun. The Explore staff is also very supportive and easy to work with.
- Portugal & Madeira
We had a great experience with Wingbuddy. Great tours, great guide.
- Unmissable Portugal, Colors & Flavours of Alentejo
Alex is a competent guide. Above and beyond that he was able to guide me through the Portugese health system when I hurt my head. You can rely on his knowledge and good judgement.
