Itinerary
- Day 1
Calama to San Pedro de Atacama
You'll get picked up from the airport and drive southeast toward San Pedro de Atacama, crossing through the Domeyko range and Cordillera de la Sal. After settling into your accommodation, head out in the afternoon to check out the Likan Antai viewpoint overlooking the Salar de Atacama basin. From there, wander through the Cordillera de la Sal to see the salt formations and mines, then take a 30 to 40 minute trek to a dune for sunset views over the Andes.

- Day 2
San Pedro de Atacama
You'll head to the Talar Salt Flat, also called Piedras Rojas (Red Rocks), a high-altitude location surrounded by lagoons. Explore the nearby lagoons and have a picnic-style lunch while taking in the landscape. Later, you'll make the return trip back to town.

- Day 3
San Pedro de Atacama
Your journey goes into remote terrain to see the famous Monjes de la Pacana (Pacana Monks), dramatic rock formations created by wind and water erosion. After that, you'll head to the Tara Salt Flat, a wide expanse surrounded by natural scenery, where you'll have a picnic-style lunch before heading back to town.

- Day 4
San Pedro de Atacama
Starting early, you'll head toward the Altiplano and climb through the Andes to reach the Tatio Geysers at 4,200 meters altitude, where you can see about 80 smoking geysers. After breakfast to refuel, explore the geothermal field with its steam columns and rustic wells. On the way back, you'll stop at the Putana River to see native plants and animals, then visit the town of Machuca to try typical local dishes.

- Day 5
San Pedro de Atacama to Laguna Colorada, Bolivia
You'll head toward the Bolivian border at Hito Cajón and handle migration formalities before switching vehicles to enter Bolivia. Stop at Laguna Verde at the base of Licancabur Volcano, continue to the Sol de Mañana geysers, and relax at the Polques hot springs for a warm soak. Cross the unusual Dali Desert and arrive at Laguna Colorada, where large flocks of pink flamingos live.

Laguna Colorada to San Juan
You'll travel through the Siloli Desert to see the famous Stone Tree and wind-sculpted rock formations. Visit a series of high-altitude lagoons including Laguna Honda, Laguna Hedionda, and Laguna Ramadita, each with different wildlife and qualities. Explore the impressive Chiguana Salt Flat before arriving at the village of San Juan, which sits on the edge of the Salar de Uyuni.

San Juan to Uyuni
You'll enter the vast Uyuni Salt Flat and climb Incahuasi Island for panoramic views with giant cacti surrounding you and the salt expanse stretching out below. Check out the Playa Blanca hotel-museum, Dakar Monument, and Flag Plaza. Later, explore the Train Cemetery with its abandoned rusted locomotives, then visit Colchani village to tour a local salt processing plant and learn about traditional methods. By evening, transfer to Uyuni bus terminal to board an overnight sleeper bus to La Paz.

- Day 8
La Paz
After arriving in La Paz, transfer to your hotel for breakfast, then start the city tour. Walk through Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley), a geological formation outside the city that looks like a lunar landscape, with a short 15 to 20 minute walk to explore it. Take the Yellow Line cable car, connecting to the Silver and Red Lines, for panoramic views of La Paz between mountains. Visit Plaza Murillo to see the Presidential Palace, National Congress, and Cathedral. End at the Witches' Market to browse amulets and traditional Andean remedies.

- Day 9
La Paz to Copacabana to Isla del Sol
Head to Copacabana, a charming town on Lake Titicaca's shores. After lunch, hike for about 2.5 hours to Sampaya, a traditional Aymara village with ancient stone houses and nice views of Lake Titicaca and the Cordillera Real mountains. Board a boat heading to Isla del Sol (Island of the Sun), check into your hostel, and have dinner together on this island.

- Day 10
Isla del Sol to Puno to Cusco
Start the day by hiking to the Pilkokaina Palace ruins (Temple of the Sun), an important Inca archaeological site. Keep walking to the beautiful Yumani stairs, ancient Inca steps you'll walk down while passing the Fountain of Life spring believed to have sacred waters. Board a boat to a nearby restaurant for a traditional communal apthapi lunch with local dishes. Return to Copacabana and travel to the Peru border, complete migration formalities, then head to Puno. By evening, board an overnight sleeper bus to Cusco.

- Day 11
Cusco
You'll arrive at the Cusco bus terminal and transfer to your hotel. The day is free for you to explore Cusco however you like. Walk through the historic cobblestone streets and stroll through Plaza de Armas with its vibrant cafes and shops. Check out Cusco Cathedral and Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun) to learn about the city's history. If you feel like exploring more, try San Pedro Market for local foods and handmade crafts, or head to Sacsayhuamán, an ancient Inca fortress just outside the city, for hiking and views. Try some traditional Andean food like cuy (guinea pig) or alpaca steak.

- Day 12
Cusco Sacred Sites
Visit Moray, an Inca agricultural lab with concentric circular terraces, then explore the Maras salt mines with their 300 pools at the foot of a mountain. Later, take a train to Aguas Calientes with some free time. Around 1:30 PM, start exploring Cusco at the Cathedral with its 16th-century paintings. Visit Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun) to see Colonial and Inca architecture contrasts, then head to Sacsayhuamán fortress with massive stone walls. Continue to Qenko (sacred labyrinth), and explore Tambomachay and Puca Pucara to learn about Inca culture.

Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes
Spend the day on a full tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Start at Chinchero, a charming town known for terraces and archaeology with a Colonial church built over Inca foundations. See the Maras Salt Mines with over 3,000 salt pools cascading down the mountainside. Continue to Urubamba for lunch, then head to Ollantaytambo, a beautiful colonial town with narrow streets, temples, granaries, fountains, and impressive Inca terraces. In the afternoon, board a scenic 45 minute train to Aguas Calientes and check into your hotel.

Machu Picchu to Cusco

Follow the classic circuit for around 2 hours, exploring the main sites and taking in the views. Head back to Aguas Calientes for lunch, then board the train to Ollantaytambo. From there, take a bus back to Cusco for your final night.
