We want to go on the 11 day Food and Island journey in Vietnam with our four grown up children. One of them is living in Ho Chi Min City and wants to join the trip but does not need the flights. I never imagined a trip could combine travel and food so perfectly, but this culinary journey through Vietnam did just that. Our first food tour in the south was unforgettable. We were wandering through markets, tasting dishes I’d never even heard of, and realizing right away how diverse and flavorful Vietnamese cuisine really is. I was impressed by street food in Hanoi with Bun Cha, Pho and Egg Coffee. This journey wasn’t just about sightseeing; it was about tasting Vietnam, region by region, story by story. I came home not only with photos of stunning landscapes but also with the lingering flavors of pho, fresh herbs, and the warmth of meals shared. Things I liked: The semi-structured style of this tour offered me flexibility to add activities on the free days. Also, I didn't have to be with the same group of other travellers all the time or follow a busy time schedule. My tour manager Diep kept me well-informed about meeting times and pick up times with Whatsapp messages and checked in my welfare. She also answered my questions on the Tourradar website quickly and clearly. Glad to have had drivers and some sightseeing tours pre-arranged and didn't have to hassle at the airport and hotels. The pick up drivers showed up on time and with name cards which make our travel much easier. Great local tour guides that took me to places I would never have found myself. Enjoyed the fact that two motorbike tours were included in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi -- fun and avoided the car traffic. Things that could be improved: The description of the included tour experiences sometimes didn't exactly match reality and were a bit vague in the website itinerary. Expected kayaking in Ha Long Bay with the cruise but didn't get one. The cruise operator brought us back to the hotel 2 hours before the stated time on the itinerary. If I had known that I would have planned more activity on the last day. Two 'Group tours' turned out to be on motorbike and had individual guides for me and my son. If other travellers are wary of being on motorbikes dodging the crazy traffic in the cities they should be well-informed in advance and have the option to change the tour or add traveler's insurance to cover bike accidents which is an extra cost added on to policies (but our motorbike drivers were really expert and safe). Overall, Vietnam Fun Tours provided a rich experience for me and my son in Vietnam and I'm very glad to have chosen this operator.Show more

I particularly enjoyed the cooking experience in Hoi An, where I learned to prepare Nem and Nom using fresh, local ingredients. The street food tour in Hanoi was also amazing, offering a chance to taste a wide variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes. I used to think that Pho in London, which I’ve eaten thousands of times and totally loved, was no different from Pho in Vietnam, but I was completely wrong. Pho in Vietnam was just mind-blowing—the richness of the soup, and Quay went really well with Pho and had a unique texture when you dipped it in the soup and let it soak. - For any tour departing before July 9th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after July 9th, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Vietnam Tour Fun. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
