Some incredible sights, especially Macchu Picchu and the journey from Uyuni to San Pedro across the salt flats. The CEO Fabi was excellent. It was quite a fast paced trip, a lot of it at altitude. Some hotels were more basix package than a Classics package, especially as in some locations better options were available. Some charged extra for drinking water and WiFi. Some of the optional extra activities were expensive and poor value. The 4x4s across the Salt Flats were cramped - we really needed 5 cars instead of 4 for the size of the group. But it was an amazing journey which we really enjoyed and for us the positives outweighed the negatives.Show more

Staff and overall experience were excellent. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a trip to Antarctica.

  Could you recommend good time to travel. I was looking into early april( your fall). Maybe less crowded. Trees turning? Weather not hot or cold?

  Regarding a single room - this tour does offer a single room option at $5119 USD. The tour is lead by a guide qualified in all safety aspects of the tour. While kayaking is not on offer from this tour, to Grey Lake is included on Day 6: Glacier Grey makes a stunning background. Head back to Paine Grande campsite to hop on the ferry back to Torres del Paine where a private van will be waiting to take you back to your hotel. Locations: Paine Grande Camp to Grey Lookout, Distance travelled: 11km (7 miles), Time: 4 hours, Elevation gain: 400m (1,315 ft). Additional accommodation can be added at $115 per night for pre-accommodation, and $145 for per night for post-accommodation. The best time to visit Santiago if you wish to miss the crowds and for milder temperatures would be March to May (Autumn), for this tour in particular, taking Patagonia (Torres del Paine & Los Glaciares) into account, March/April is most ideal.
