- Day 1
Istanbul
After you arrive in Istanbul, head to your hotel and get settled. The rest of your afternoon is open, so you can either relax at the hotel or start wandering around the city. Tons of restaurants and cafes are all over the place, so you'll have plenty of options to grab a bite whenever you're ready.

Istanbul
This morning you'll join a guided tour through Istanbul's Old City to see the Byzantine and Ottoman architecture. Start at the Blue Mosque with its famous blue tiles, then walk through the Hippodrome and check out Hagia Sophia. By the end of the day, you'll finish at Topkapi Palace, where Ottoman sultans once lived.

Istanbul to Gallipoli
Head down to Gallipoli for a guided tour of the WWI battlefields. You'll walk through ANZAC Cove, see the Lone Pine Memorial and Cemetery, visit Chunuk Bair, explore the Nek, and stop at Johnston's Jolly. While you're there, you'll walk through the historic trenches and hear stories about the soldiers who fought in the Gallipoli campaign.

- Day 4
Gallipoli to Kusadasi
Leave Gallipoli and stop briefly in Troy to see the ancient city with its nine different layers from over 3000 BC, including the replica wooden horse. After that, head south to Pergamum and check out one of the world's steepest amphitheaters and the Asclepion medical center. You'll also visit a leather manufacturing house before finishing up in Kusadasi on the Aegean Coast (75°F/24°C).

- Day 5
Kusadasi
Spend your day exploring Ephesus, one of the best-preserved classical cities around. Tour the marble ruins including the Library of Celsus, the Stadium, Vedius' gymnasium, and the Great Theatre. You'll walk through ancient public spaces with fountains and temples, and finish by visiting a carpet manufacturing house to see how traditional carpets are made.

Kusadasi to Pamukkale
Travel east to Pamukkale to experience the white calcium terraced pools, called the Cotton Castles. You can walk barefoot along the travertine formations or take a relaxing dip in the thermal pool that has submerged marble columns. Later, visit Hierapolis, the ancient spa town known for its mineral springs and communal baths.

Pamukkale to Cappadocia
Today you'll travel to Cappadocia in central Turkey, making stops along the way. The scenery changes as you head inland, and you're heading toward one of Turkey's most unique regions with its distinctive geological landscape.

Cappadocia
You'll spend this day checking out Cappadocia's unusual landscape with its fairy chimneys, the tall cone-shaped rock formations. See the Goreme Open-Air Museum with its rock-cut Byzantine churches and frescoes, and explore underground cities like Derinkuyu to understand how people used these spaces historically. The geological formations and cultural heritage here are really something different.

- Day 9
Cappadocia to Istanbul
Make your way back to Istanbul from Cappadocia today. You'll have a lunch break along the route (you'll pay for this on-site), then arrive in Istanbul by evening. If you prefer to skip the long drive, there's an option to fly directly from Cappadocia to Istanbul instead.

Istanbul
After breakfast, your tour ends with a transfer to Istanbul International Airport included. Transfers run at 9am and 1pm, so you'll pick the time that works for your flight.
