Cairo
You'll arrive in Cairo whenever your flight gets in, and a transfer takes you straight to your hotel. This evening there's a welcome meeting with your group, followed by dinner at a local restaurant with views of the Pyramids.

Landmarks Pyramids of Giza 
- Day 2
Cairo
Head out early to Giza to see the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx up close. After that, you'll travel to Sakkara to walk through the sprawling complex of pyramids and tombs dating back to the Old Kingdom.

Cairo to Luxor
You'll catch an early flight from Cairo to Luxor, then drive north to the temple complex at Dandara. Check in to your dahabiya Nile River sailing boat, which will be your home for the next 5 nights. Later, explore the temples of Karnak and Luxor in the city.

Luxor
Start early by visiting a local community G for Good project, then head to the Valley of the Kings and temples on the West Bank. You'll have lunch at the community hosted in someone's home, then return to your dahabiya and sail north up the Nile toward Esna.

Nile River - Esna to Edfu
This is your first full day sailing the Nile, and you'll reach sites accessible only by dahabiya. Visit the cliff-side tomb complex of El Kab and the Temple of Edfu, then sail to a remote island where dinner is an Egyptian-style barbecue under the stars.

Nile River - Edfu to Kom Ombo
You'll continue sailing south through farmlands and small islands. Stop at Bisaw Island to see how people live in a traditional village, then continue to Gebal El Silsila and Kom Ombo. By evening you'll dock on Herdyab Island as the sun sets over the valley.

Nile River - Kom Ombo to Aswan
Your final day on the Nile takes you south to Aswan, the farthest point accessible by boat. After lunch, take a local ferry out to Philae Temple, then visit a Nubian village to learn about Nubian culture and traditions.

Aswan to Abu Simbel to Cairo
Transfer to the airport early for a short flight to Abu Simbel to see the temple complex there. Fly back to Aswan and connect to your flight to Cairo. You'll check into your hotel and have a free evening to do whatever you like.

Cairo
Spend the morning at the Grand Egyptian Museum checking out Egypt's great treasures. In the afternoon, pick between two options: an Egyptian lunch and historic walk through the city, or a downtown Cairo food and walking tour. End with a farewell dinner together along the Nile.
