Srinagar
You'll land at Srinagar Airport and get transferred to your houseboat to settle in. After getting comfortable, you'll take a Shikara ride across Dal Lake, passing by Char Chinar with its four iconic trees, the Floating Gardens, and scenic canals lined with other houseboats and the surrounding hills.

Srinagar to Pahalgam
Following breakfast, you'll drive to Pahalgam, the Valley of Shepherds, and check into your hotel. From there, spend time walking along the Lidder River banks and taking in the natural scenery of this valley, which serves as the starting point for Amarnath pilgrimage and various trekking routes.

Pahalgam to Srinagar
After breakfast, you'll drive back to Srinagar with a stop at the 9th-century Awantipura Ruins and Mattan Temple Complex along the way. During the afternoon, you'll see the Nishat and Shalimar Mughal gardens, drive the lakeside boulevard, browse carpets and shawls at a handicrafts emporium, then finish at Shankaracharya Temple.

Gulmarg Excursion
You'll spend the full day heading to Gulmarg, the Meadow of Flowers, about 53 km away at 8,700 ft altitude. This famous ski resort has the world's highest 18-hole golf course. You can take the cable car if you'd like for views of Kongdori mountain, and there's time to soak in the scenic views before heading back to Srinagar in the evening.

Srinagar to Kargil
You'll drive 204 km to Kargil through Sonamarg at 9,000 ft, passing snowy mountains and the Sindh River. There's a stop at Sonamarg for tea and photography, with an option to visit Thajwas Glaciers by pony for a small extra fee. Later you'll cross Zojila Pass and stop at Drass, the world's 2nd coldest inhabited place, to see the War Memorial Hall and Museum honoring Kargil War soldiers.

Kargil to Leh
After breakfast, you'll drive to Leh and see where the Indus and Zanskar Rivers meet. Along the way, you'll check out Magnetic Hill, a gravity-defying spot, then visit Gurudwara Patthar Sahib and Kali Mata Temple. You'll reach Leh in the evening with time to rest and get acclimated to the altitude.

From there, you can browse the local market and visit the Hall of Fame, an Indian Army memorial, if you're interested.

Leh to Nubra Valley
After breakfast, you'll drive through Khardungla Pass at 18,360 ft, recognized as the world's highest motorable pass, and cross a glacier bridge that holds a Guinness World Record. You'll arrive in Nubra Valley at 10,000 ft, check into your camp, and then head out to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder where camel rides are available if you want them.

Turtuk Border Village
You'll drive to Turtuk, a border village where the Himalayan and Karakoram ranges meet, overlooking the Shyok River. This Balti tribal settlement was returned to India in 1971 after Pakistani occupation. You'll walk through the village, try authentic Balti food, see the Pakistani border, and learn about the divided families here. The region is known for quality apricots and traditional sword dances, and you'll head back to Nubra by evening.

Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake
After breakfast, you'll visit Diskit Monastery, then begin traveling to Pangong Lake via the Shyok route. Pangong Lake is known for its clear, extremely salty waters ringed by mountains and has been used as a filming location for several movies. The lake is also an important breeding ground for various bird species. You'll settle into your camp for the night.

- Day 11
Pangong Lake to Hanle
You'll start early after breakfast and drive to Hanle, crossing Chushul Village and Tsaga La Pass at 15,200 ft. Hanle houses the Indian Astronomical Observatory, a sensitive location near the Tibetan and Chinese border. The area features the Himalayan Chandra Telescope and the Major Atmospheric Cerenkov Experiment Telescope under construction, projected to be one of the world's largest at its altitude.

Hanle to Tsomoriri Lake
After breakfast, you'll check out and head to Tsomoriri Lake by crossing Nurpa Pass at 16,100 ft and Mahe Bridge. Tsomoriri sits at 14,000 ft near the small village of Korzok in the Changthang region, recently opened to foreigners. The lake serves as a breeding ground for bar-headed geese, crested grebes, Brahmini ducks, and brown-headed gulls. You'll settle into your camp there.

Tsomoriri Lake Area to Leh
After an early breakfast, you'll check out and visit Korzok village where houses and the Gompa appear like a mirage against the landscape. You'll walk through the barley fields, among the world's highest cultivated areas, then drive to Tsokar Lake to see the nomadic Changpa people herding goats, sheep, and yaks. They traditionally make ropes, clothes, and shoes from their animals' hair. You'll return to Leh in the evening.

Monasteries Tour
You'll visit several ancient monasteries around Leh. Starting with Shey Gompa 15 km away, the former summer palace of Ladakh's kings with a 12m Shakyamuni Buddha statue. Next is Thiksey Gompa 17 km away, a 600-year-old monastery with temples, murals, and sculptures. Then you'll head to Hemis Monastery 45 km south, one of Ladakh's largest with a beautiful valley setting. If interested, you can also stop at the famous school from '3 Idiots' and Sindhu Ghat river bank before returning to your hotel.
