Since you're over 35, we'd love to help you find a similar itinerary on one of our open-age trips (which is the vast majority of our trips), which offer the same great destinations and experiences. What people note most about the 18-35s tours compared to others is that they are less expensive, this is because that style of trip often utilizes multi-share hostels, public transport vs. private and includes a lot less as far as meals and activities.

  can you share some more details regarding the long bus ride? how long is it approximately, what is the starting point and destination? is it possible to book a flight instead? my wife and I are 44 and 43 respectively, and we are in good shape. would it be possible to book this trip?

    The long bus ride on Day 7 is approximately 14 hours. The ride starts from Estancia and continues to the next destination. We do not provide flight upgrades for this bus ride. This trip is specifically designed for travelers aged 18–35, so unfortunately, you and your wife would not be able to book this trip. If you have any other departure in mind, please let us know and we'd be happy to help you find a suitable option.

    Walking distances to accommodations: Could you please let me know if the drop-off points from local transport (e.g. bus terminals, airports) to the hotels or group accommodations are within easy walking distance? Will guests need to carry luggage over long distances or up stairs?

    For this trip, we recommend bringing a small to medium wheeled suitcase or a medium to large backpack, plus a daypack for daily activities. Many domestic flights and local airlines on this route typically allow a maximum of 20 kg for checked luggage. Carry-on bags may need to meet size restrictions (approximately 25cm x 35cm x 45cm). Overweight charges can apply and vary by airline. In most cases, the group will be dropped off close to the accommodation. However, there may be occasions where it's necessary to walk short distances or carry luggage up stairs, especially in areas where vehicle access is limited.

Unfortunately, we're unable to confirm bookings outside of that age group for this trip. However, if you're open to other options, we'd be happy to suggest similar trips with no age restrictions that you and your friend can enjoy together.

    The cost for the October 11th departure would be $2,680 USD without a single supplement. If you did want to have your own room the additional cost would be $290 USD. Please note that the single supplement excludes Days 5 & 6 (Estancia Stay) and Day 7 (Overnight bus) where you will be in shared accommodation and is subject to availability.
