Itinerary
- Day 1
Mekong Cruise to Pakbeng
Your bikes get loaded onto a Mekong cruise boat for the start of this Northern Laos trip. You'll have lunch on board while watching the river flow past, then continue by water to Pakbeng, a small town right on the riverbank where you'll stay the night.

Landmarks Mekong River Pakbeng - Day 2
Pakbeng to Oudomxai
After a short ride in a vehicle, you'll start cycling through rural areas where you'll pass through villages of Phu Thai, Thai Lu, Hmong, Thai Dam, Lao and Khamu people. Stop at traditional weaving villages to watch families work the old looms. You'll climb up a 300 meter pass then have a long descent into Oudomxai, the main city of Oudomxay Province.

Landmarks Oudomxai - Day 3
Oudomxai to Nong Khiaw
You'll ride from an elevation of 1300 meters after taking an hour-long transfer uphill to start. The cycling takes you through nice scenery and Hmong villages, with a long downhill stretch to Pak Mong where you'll stop for lunch. From there, continue on a small paved road through limestone karst mountains around Nong Khiaw, ending at a resort with mountain and Nam Ou River views.

Landmarks Nong Khiaw Nam Ou River - Day 4
Nong Khiaw to Luang Prabang
Today's ride is easier and faster as you cover more distance to Luang Prabang with just some gentle hills along the way. You'll cycle next to the Nam Ou river with views of the large mountain ranges around you. The last part of the route takes you through teakwood forests before you arrive in Luang Prabang.
