Itinerary
- Day 1
Thusis
You'll arrive in Thusis, a charming Swiss town nestled in the Grisons canton. After checking into your hotel, you'll get your welcome information pack which includes vouchers for local attractions and a parking pass to use during your stay.

Thusis to Andeer
This is a substantial hiking day covering 15.5 km through the dramatic Via Mala gorges. You can choose the main route or take the higher Via Traversina path if you want more panoramic views. Either way, you'll reach Andeer by day's end, a village known for its decorated houses and cobbled streets. Expect about 5.5 hours of hiking with 1,100m elevation gain and 720m descent.

- Day 3
Andeer to Splügen
You'll leave Andeer and head toward the Roffla Waterfalls early on. After that, the route takes you through spruce woodland before climbing to Sufers, a historic village in a mountain basin. By evening you'll reach Splügen, a trading town at the Pass. This 14.5 km hike takes around 5 hours with 730m elevation gain and 230m descent.

Splügen to Isola
Starting across alpine pastures, you'll pass through avalanche barrier tunnels and well-maintained mule-tracks with mountain views surrounding you. The route takes you up the northern slope, then descends into Italy to Montespluga. Later you'll see the Cardinello Gorge before heading through dramatic terrain to reach the wooden mountain dwellings of Sosta, Mottaletta, and Isola. This 17 km hike takes about 6 hours with 700m elevation gain and 900m descent.

Isola to Chiavenna
You'll hike through fir woodland to Campodolcino, then the trail is mostly downhill from there. Following the Liro torrent through Val San Giacomo, you'll walk past dry-stone walls, meadows, and chestnut groves with various historical and religious sites along the way. By afternoon you'll approach Chiavenna from ancient terraces with vineyard views. This 18 km hike takes around 6 hours with 930m descent.

- Day 6
Chiavenna to Lecco
No hiking today. You'll explore Chiavenna's historic center on foot, checking out centuries-old buildings, frescoes, and the charming piazzas. There's time to try local traditional food and wine. Later you'll transfer to Lake Como and check into your hotel in Lecco for the night.

Lecco
You have a free day in Lecco to do as you like. Wander the streets, take a boat tour on Lake Como, or walk the scenic Sentiero del Viandante path if you're interested in more hiking. You'll stay another night at your Lecco hotel.

Lecco to Milan
