- Day 1
Berlin
You'll land at Brandenburg Airport and head to your hotel to settle in. The rest of the day is yours to wander around Berlin on your own, and you might stop by Check Point Charlie if you'd like. This evening at 17:30, you'll meet your Travel Director for a Welcome Dinner that includes beer and wine.

- Day 2
Berlin
A Local Expert guides you through Berlin's main sights. You'll drive along Ku'Damm and pass the Memorial Church, then move through the Tiergarten to see the Reichstag's glass dome. After that, you'll walk past the Brandenburg Gate and stroll down Unter den Linden, seeing the Humboldt University and State Opera. Museum Island gives you some free time to explore the city at your own pace.

Nuremberg to Munich
Start your morning in Nuremberg's Old Town, walking through charming stone and timber-framed buildings with massive ramparts surrounding the area. You can pick up some Lebkuchen gingerbread if you want. From there, you'll drive across the Danube toward Munich, Bavaria's capital, which sits near the German Alps. Later this evening, think about having dinner at one of Munich's famous beer halls.

This afternoon, you'll head to Oktoberfest with reserved tables, full access to the festival atmosphere, amusement rides, and entertainment. You'll drive into Alpine Bavaria through farmhouses and villages toward Obersalzberg, the former summer retreat of Nazi leadership. The Eagle's Nest, now a restaurant operating since the 1950s, offers splendid views of the Hohen Goll and snow-capped peaks through its arches. After that, you'll continue past hilltops and mountain villages to see the Berchtesgaden countryside.

You'll pass Durnstein Fortress and see the vine-covered cliffs around Krems. A local winery visit lets you learn about and taste Wachau style wines before you continue on to Vienna.
