  Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to kindly clarify that the itinerary did not change upon your arrival in Cairo. The updated itinerary was sent to you 10 days before departure, and you acknowledged receipt of that message in writing. The only adjustment made was starting the Nile cruise from Luxor instead of Aswan due to the cruise sailing schedule — this did not remove any visits or inclusions from your program. All sightseeing and services were provided as agreed. Regarding airport time, flight schedules and any airline delays are unfortunately outside of our control. These are operational matters handled by the airline. We would also like to mention that your original package included a normal seat overnight train, and as a gesture of goodwill, we upgraded you to two internal flights at no additional cost to enhance your comfort and save travel fatigue. We are a bit disappointed this was not reflected in your review. We truly value constructive feedback and always aim to provide the best possible experience.   I do not often take the time to write reviews. However, after being asked three to four times by TourRadar, I felt it was important to share my experience. I travel extensively and have visited over 100 countries. Based on that experience, the level of care and service I received during my tour of Egypt was far less than desirable. The tour guides themselves were one of the few highlights of this trip. The guides in both Egypt and Jordan were good overall. The guide in Cairo was knowledgeable, and the guide from Aswan to Luxor was kindhearted and attentive. Unfortunately, my experience with the tour company’s Egypt office, Golden Egypt, was extremely disappointing and deeply frustrating. I chose this tour through TourRadar expecting to deal with professionals, but that was not the case. I booked the tour as a last-minute decision, and the agency made sure to repeatedly remind me of this, as though it were a poor decision on my part. I paid extra for upgraded round-trip flights Cairo to Aswan; however, only one-way tickets were available. I am still owed a refund for this and have yet to receive it. Before paying for the entire trip (Egypt and Jordan), I specifically asked whether visa costs were included. I was told they were not, so I proceeded to purchase them online accordingly to save time at the airports. Later, I discovered that the Jordanian visa was actually free if arranged through the tour agency. This was never clearly communicated to me, and I wish that information had been disclosed properly. Communication throughout the tour was extremely poor. None of the daily itineraries were shared in advance. From the moment we arrived at the airport, we had no idea where we would be staying; no hotel name, no address, nothing( these are usually written with a placeholder note "or similar", but the exact names were never given. These are basic details that should always be communicated to travelers. This issue was not limited to me; other travelers on the same tour experienced the same confusion. Some individuals who stayed an additional night at the end of the tour did not even know which hotel they were booked into. It was only after I repeatedly asked Golden Egypt’s agent who would be collecting me at the airport in Jordan, where I would be staying, and other essential details that I was finally given the information. Until then, I was not even aware that I would be dealing with a completely different tour company in Jordan. Fortunately, that company turned out to be far more professional. The most outrageous and alarming incident involved passport security. Golden Egypt shared copies of our passports with multiple third-party providers. Taxi drivers contracted to transport us from point A to point B were sent screenshots of our passports via WhatsApp. I know this because I personally saw a taxi driver’s phone. This is unbelievably careless and completely unacceptable, especially given the prevalence of identity theft worldwide. Our names would have been more than sufficient for drivers—there was absolutely no justification for sharing passport copies. The agent’s WhatsApp communication was also unprofessional. The account did not reflect the tour company’s branding or logo. Imagine receiving messages from someone claiming to represent the tour company and requesting passport copies, particularly after all documentation had already been uploaded to TourRadar’s website. This raises serious concerns about professionalism and data security. When I raised concerns about the lack of a daily schedule and requested that itineraries be shared instead of being kept as a mystery, the agency quickly dismissed the issue by stating that their services had already been provided. Customer service is clearly not their strength. Travelers should also be prepared to spend a significant amount of money on gratuities in Egypt, as tipping is expected and often waited for at nearly every step of the way. I do not recommend using Golden Egypt as a tour company. In contrast, my experience in Jordan was excellent. The Jordanian tour agency, Axis DMC (axisdmc.com), was professional from start to finish. They met me at the airport, provided a complete and transparent itinerary of everything I had paid for, and communicated clearly throughout. The driver, Badir, was professional, attentive, and reliable. As a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture, Axis DMC also presented us with souvenir gifts before our departure from Jordan. Regarding the upgraded Cairo–Aswan flights, as this booking was made very close to departure, flight availability was extremely limited. When only one sector was available in the upgraded category, this was communicated accordingly. Any price difference for services not delivered is always processed according to our policy,. Concerning visas, we provide general guidance'and it's already stated in the itinerary With regard to hotel confirmations and daily schedules, final operational details are often confirmed close to arrival due to flight timings, cruise sailing schedules, and supplier allocations. This is standard practice in dynamic multi-destination tours, particularly with last-minute reservations. That said, we acknowledge that clearer advance communication can enhance traveler comfort, and your feedback will be reviewed internally. On the matter of passport copies: in Egypt and Jordan, licensed tourism providers are legally required to register traveler passport information with hotels, cruise operators, domestic airlines, and authorized transport providers for security and government compliance purposes. This is not optional and is part of regulated tourism procedures. Documentation is shared strictly for operational and legal requirements, not for informal use. We take data privacy seriously and comply with local regulations governing tourism operations. Regarding gratuities, tipping customs in Egypt are culturally embedded and customary across the service sector. While always voluntary, we provide guidance to help travelers understand local expectations. We regret that your perception of our service did not align with the experience we strive to deliver.
