- LLouis· March 23rd, 2024Good Places in India We complete 11 day Classical Golden Triangle tour with Shimla and Manali, and it was truly a trip of a lifetime. From the rich cultural heritage of the Golden Triangle cities to the picturesque mountains of Shimla and Manali, every aspect of this tour exceeded my expectations. The tour started in Delhi, where we were greeted by our knowledgeable and friendly tour guide Mr.Nadeem . We visited the iconic Red Fort, Jama Masjid, and Humayun's Tomb, which were all architectural marvels and gave us a glimpse into India's vibrant history. The bustling markets of Delhi were a treat for the senses, with colorful fabrics, aromatic spices, and delicious street food. Next, we headed to Agra, where we were blown away by the magnificent Taj Mahal. The intricate details and grandeur of this monument left us in awe. The Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri were also impressive and gave us a deeper understanding of Mughal architecture. From Agra, we traveled to Jaipur, also known as the 'Pink City'. The city was a beautiful blend of ancient and modern, with its majestic forts and palaces coexisting with bustling markets and modern buildings. We particularly enjoyed the elephant ride to the top of Amer Fort, which offered breathtaking views of the city. After exploring the Golden Triangle, we headed to the scenic hill stations of Shimla and Manali. The drive through the Himalayas was a highlight of the trip, with stunning views of snow-capped mountains, lush valleys, and charming villages. In Shimla, we took a walk on the famous Mall Road and visited the Viceregal Lodge, while in Manali, we indulged in adventure activities like paragliding and river rafting. Throughout the trip, we were impressed by our accommodations, which ranged from luxurious hotels in the cities to cozy cottages in the mountains. The food was also a highlight, with a variety of delicious Indian dishes to try. Overall, this 11-day tour was a perfect blend of culture, history, and nature. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the best of India in a short time. The tour was well-organized, and our guide took care of all the details, allowing us to sit back and enjoy our trip. It was truly a memorable experience, and I can't wait to go back and explore more of this beautiful country.Show more
