This tour is a part of our 18-30somethings travel style, which is only available for travellers between the ages of 18 - 39 to book onto. Our other travel styles, such as Classic, Active, National Geographic Journeys, etc., do not have any age restrictions.

Is it still possible to book the tour on the 12th or the 15th June and to walk the inca trail and to see Macchu Piccu?

All permits for hiking the Inca Trail are completely sold out (until October). We recommend booking your adventure at least 6 months in advance especially during high season (MAY-OCT) is the peak travel for Peru and the Inca permits sell out far in advance. If you are okay with hiking the alternate LARES TREK then that option is available!

I was interested in your 21-day Peru adventure; however, I turned 40 now and I understand there's an age limit

Unfortunately, the tour you are looking at is a tour specifically designed for our 18 - 39 year old travellers. As you don't fit within that age bracket we won't be able to book you on this trip. However, we have plenty more trips on offer, so please do have a look at some alternatives in our classic range of tours.

How physically demanding is the tour?

The tour may include hiking through challenging terrains, such as the Inca Trail. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended to fully participate in all activities.

Will there be access to medical insurance during the journey?

It is mandatory for all travelers to have emergency medical travel insurance that covers medical expenses, evacuation, and repatriation for the dates of the tour.

Is it a correct assumption that booking of the inca trail is included in the package/price?

Yes we include the Inca Trail permits in the tour cost. However please note that these can sell out around 6 months in advance, so it would be worth checking that they are available with us before booking your chosen date.

Are there options to visit the Amazon without hiking the Inca trail, while still seeing Machu Picchu, Amazonia, and Nazca?

Is the tour physically demanding? Can I travel solo? Is there a single supplement or can I be assigned a roommate?

What options are available if the Inca Trail permits are sold out?

If Inca Trail permits are sold out for your desired dates, alternatives like the Lares Trek Itinerary or a stay in Cusco with included activities and a transfer to Machu Picchu are available.

The tour in general was well organized, we got to see a lot in three weeks Peru. A very diverse and beautiful country. We saw a lot of animals and were very lucky with the weather at the end of April till half of May. For the whole tour there is one guide (CEO) and sometimes another (local) guide joined us to give more explanations on a specific tour or specific trip/location (Colca Canyon, Inca Trail, Rainbow Mountain, ...). They explained very well. Sometimes I did miss some more tips on what to explore in a certain place/city from the CEO or also had difficulties at the pace of the group/following the CEO because we were with 18 people and if you don't follow in the head of the group you missed out on informations or could even lose sight of the group. A tip for the organization is to make more use of the groupchat before the start of the trip for when some practical questions come up for example about how to handle mobile data or info on exchanging money. A bit more and structured communication before each day with some standard oversight of what the next day would entail like start time, food, name of accommodation, what to bring, ... would help more. Sometime this was given, but a at an more chaotic moment or between other stuff. On the extra activities, you can choose on the trip instead of beforehand when you book the trip. I didn't know this and booked all my activities beforehand what resulted in sometimes a different, higher price. They sometimes also offer a free (city)tour, so be aware if you book the paid tour. The Inca trail was really beautiful, the rent material was very good. I didn't feel cold at night. The porters carry your 6 kg duffelbag. When you rent all the material, you have around 2 kg left to fill with your personal belongings. The rest you carry in your daybag. All in all a good experience and beautiful trip!Show more

  If we would walk the lares trek, do you still have entrance tickets to Macchu Piccu or do we have to be lucky and get one of the 1000 tickets in Auguas Caliente? What about the Salkantay Trek? Would it be possible to hike it instead of the Inka Trail?

- The following cards are accepted for "G Adventures" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.

- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
