This tour is a part of our 18-30somethings travel style, which is only available for travellers between the ages of 18 - 39 to book onto. Our other travel styles, such as Classic, Active, National Geographic Journeys, etc., do not have any age restrictions.

Is it still possible to book the tour on the 12th or the 15th June and to walk the inca trail and to see Macchu Piccu?

All permits for hiking the Inca Trail are completely sold out (until October). We recommend booking your adventure at least 6 months in advance especially during high season (MAY-OCT) is the peak travel for Peru and the Inca permits sell out far in advance. If you are okay with hiking the alternate LARES TREK then that option is available!

I was interested in your 21-day Peru adventure; however, I turned 40 now and I understand there's an age limit

Unfortunately, the tour you are looking at is a tour specifically designed for our 18 - 39 year old travellers. As you don't fit within that age bracket we won't be able to book you on this trip. However, we have plenty more trips on offer, so please do have a look at some alternatives in our classic range of tours.

How physically demanding is the tour?

The tour may include hiking through challenging terrains, such as the Inca Trail. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended to fully participate in all activities.

Will there be access to medical insurance during the journey?

It is mandatory for all travelers to have emergency medical travel insurance that covers medical expenses, evacuation, and repatriation for the dates of the tour.

Is it a correct assumption that booking of the inca trail is included in the package/price?

Yes we include the Inca Trail permits in the tour cost. However please note that these can sell out around 6 months in advance, so it would be worth checking that they are available with us before booking your chosen date.

Are there options to visit the Amazon without hiking the Inca trail, while still seeing Machu Picchu, Amazonia, and Nazca?

Is the tour physically demanding? Can I travel solo? Is there a single supplement or can I be assigned a roommate?

What options are available if the Inca Trail permits are sold out?

If Inca Trail permits are sold out for your desired dates, alternatives like the Lares Trek Itinerary or a stay in Cusco with included activities and a transfer to Machu Picchu are available.

It's because we had feedback from our younger passengers that want a travel style where like minded same age first time travellers can share accommodation in hostels and tour together. We do have similar tours open to all ages in Peru & Bolivia, but unfortunately not any that go the exact same route.

  If we would walk the lares trek, do you still have entrance tickets to Macchu Piccu or do we have to be lucky and get one of the 1000 tickets in Auguas Caliente? What about the Salkantay Trek? Would it be possible to hike it instead of the Inka Trail?

Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before April 29th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after April 29th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with G Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and G Adventures will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "G Adventures" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of G Adventures. Please familiarize yourself with the G Adventures payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
