In terms of dietary requirements, being an ovo-lacto vegetarian is generally not an issue, and most group dining experiences can accommodate this. That said, it's important to note that Backroads does not directly prepare the meals, as they are provided by third-party restaurants and venues. Because of this, we're unable to guarantee that there will be no cross-contamination.

If the customer has a companion they would like to travel with, they are able to do a twin or double room. However, we don't pair up passengers with other guest on the tour. If they are a solo traveller, they need to be in a Single Occupancy room.

A general warning for anyone booking a tour with this company. If you have to cancel your tour due to acts of war (as is currently happening in the middle east) you will only receive between 0% to 40 % of your full tour payment!!! This happened to us as our flight via Dubai was cancelled and we were unable to get to book another flight to get to the tour. Smart Traveller also warned travellers not to travel via the Gulf countries. Explaining all this to Back Roads and asking for a full refund fell on DEAF ears. No response to our email and only 40% returned!!! A Rip Off company to say the least as other tour companies were giving between 80% to 100% refunds on tours booked with them.Show more

  We unfortunately don't have the Provence and the French Riviera tour with a 02 September departure. The closest departure is 08 September and the price for a Double for Single Occupancy is $6359.00 AUD. Please note this departure is on request as we are inside 60 days until the trip departure.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 6th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 6th, 2026, a minimum payment of $200 is required to confirm your booking with Back-Roads Touring. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Back-Roads Touring will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Back-Roads Touring" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
