Having visited Abdel Simbel, I wouldn't recommend this option; more than 7 hours travel time for one hour on site. On the other hand, the hot-air balloon ride to Luxour is top-notch. For my taste, the free time for sightseeing was too short. I would have preferred not to have to see how papyrus, jewelry and aromatherapy are made, to have more time. The guides were very nice, Abdou is a well of incredible knowledge and Hamet a bit of a train rider. Our trip ended well in Hurghada to recuperate.Show more

- JKjoy· November 11th, 2024The team- Harry, Yassin and Ahmed (not the tour guide), did a highly commendable job in ensuring the entire trip was seamlessly well-coordinated from the pickups to the accommodation arrangements and domestic flight information. The transport were unfailingly timely, we never had to wait. Ahmed and Harry were the main pillars and were always reachable, responsive and receptive to feedback. The team, notably the 3 above mentioned, did their utmost to make the experience as best possible for the guests. Small things count and Yassin, the representative at Cairo airport, was my first impression to Egypt. He was early, kept in contact the moment I landed and despite not being fluent in English he continued small talks throughout the journey with a genuine smile that made you feel wholesomely welcomed. Overall, I think the itinerary was well thought and planned, although slightly packed, as we had to have take out breakfast for 3 mornings and the early morning fatigue grew over the days. But thankfully the walking was reasonable. There was someone in the group in crutches and he could, respectfully and impressively, still manage the distance and uneven terrain. The accommodation choices, including the cruise, were reasonably acceptable (4 star on average) with the one in Hurghada being remarkably the best. The only bone to pick was the guide who we unfortunately had for the longest duration throughout the cruise from Aswan to Luxor, who wasn't in the best form in all ways.
