- Day 1
Arrival in Reykjavik
Your driver will meet you at the airport terminal and take you to your hotel in Reykjavik. Once you've checked in, the rest of the day is open for you to wander around the city at your own pace and get your bearings.

Golden Circle
Today you'll head out on a guided Golden Circle tour with your driver. You'll stand between two continents at Thingvellir National Park, see the Geysir Hot Spring erupting naturally, check out the powerful Gullfoss waterfall, and stop by Fridheimar Farm to learn about local farming. Your guide will take you through all the highlights throughout the day.

After breakfast, you'll go to Lava Center to see a volcanic eruption display. From there, you'll visit Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls before driving to Vik Town. You'll walk on the black sand beach at Reynisdrangar and explore the nearby Dyrhoaey area, then end your day at Fjadrargljufur canyon with its dramatic rock formations.

Glaciers and Iceberg Lagoons
Following breakfast, you'll drive to Skaftafell National Park and spend time walking through its varied landscapes. Heading east on Route 1, you'll reach Fjallsarlon Iceberg Lagoon first, then continue to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. You'll finish at Diamond Beach where icebergs wash up on shore creating an icy landscape.

East Fjords and Lunar Landscapes
You'll drive through the East Fjords to reach Dettifoss waterfall. From there, head to Lake Myvatn Area, which has a landscape that resembles the moon's surface and was actually used by astronauts for training. You'll walk around Namaskard Pass, Dimmuborgir, and Skutustadir pseudo craters to experience Iceland's volcanic terrain up close.

You'll drive to Jkulsargljufur National Park and explore Asbyrgi Canyon, where a small forest sits surrounded by 100-meter high rock walls shaped like a horseshoe. Next, you'll head to Hljoaklettar to see the striking landscape created by columnar basalt formations arranged at different angles.

Northern Iceland to Troll Peninsula
Starting at Godafoss Waterfall west of Lake Myvatn, you'll take time to see this northern Iceland landmark. Then you'll drive to Akureyri city center to walk around and grab lunch at a local spot. After eating, you'll continue to the Troll Peninsula, checking out Siglufjordur before heading to Skagafjordur for the night.

Today you'll drive 226 miles to Snaefellsjokull Peninsula. Along the way, you'll pass through farmland where Icelandic horses roam, see Breidafjordur Bay, and catch views of Snaefellsjokull peak with its glacier cap at 1,446 meters. You'll visit Dritvik Cove and the dramatic Londrangar cliffs before checking into your hotel.
