Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangkok to Sukhothai
You'll meet at your hotel at 8 a.m. and head toward Ayutthaya, the former Siamese capital. Once there, you'll see the famous Buddha head surrounded by tree roots and walk through the royal palace grounds. From there, you'll continue through Phitsanulok toward Sukhothai, making a stop at Wat Chetupon ruins where you can catch the sunset before checking into your hotel. The drive covers about 400 km and takes roughly 5 to 6 hours total.

- Day 2
Sukhothai to Lampang
After breakfast, you'll take a relaxed bike tour through Sukhothai's historical park, cycling between temple ruins that sit among moats and old city walls. Next, you'll head to Si Satchanalai and the charming village of Ban Na Ton Chan, where you'll walk through rice fields and visit traditional weaving workshops. Later in the afternoon, you'll arrive in Lampang, a town known for its beautiful teak houses and horse-drawn carriages. This leg of the journey covers about 200 km over 3 to 4 hours.

Lampang to Phayao
The morning starts with a drive to Wat Chaloem Phra Kiat, sometimes called Little Bhutan, where about 500 steep steps lead up to white chedis perched on cliff tops (sturdy shoes and good fitness help, though parking lot views work if you skip the climb). After coming back down, you'll have a typical regional lunch. Later, you'll check out Chae Son National Park to see a waterfall, walk through lush vegetation with orchids, and relax in the hot springs. Before reaching Phayao in the afternoon, you'll stop at a viewpoint overlooking Kwan Phayao, northern Thailand's largest lake. This day covers about 210 km over 3 to 4 hours.

Phayao to Chiang Rai
You'll start with breakfast at a small restaurant across from your hotel. Around 7:15 a.m., you'll watch monks receiving alms, a ritual where you can donate food and get a blessing in return. Next, you're heading to the Golden Triangle where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet, with views over the Mekong River and a chance to visit a small opium museum. Later, you'll go to Mae Sai, Thailand's northernmost town, to see the border activity and get views from the skywalk. Before ending the day at your hotel in Chiang Rai, you'll visit the Blue Temple. The drive is about 270 km and takes roughly 4 hours.

Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai
In the morning, you'll visit the White Temple with its snow-white exterior and sparkling mirror mosaics. From there, you'll drive to Khun Korn Forest Park and take a short hike to one of the region's highest waterfalls (viewing from the park entrance is an option if you prefer to skip the hike). You'll stop at a small coffee farm to learn how Arabica is grown, then relax at the hot springs in Wiang Pa Pao with a footbath and lunch. Later, you'll head to Wat Phra That Doi Saket, a hilltop temple with sweeping views over Mae Rim Valley, before arriving at your hotel in Chiang Mai. This journey covers about 240 km over 3 to 4 hours.

Departure
Time to head to the airport for your flight home or wherever you're headed next. You'll want to leave your accommodation with enough time to handle check-in and get through security without rushing. After checking out, you'll make your way to the airport for your departure.
