- Day 1
Flight to Kuching
Your flight to Kuching departs today. You'll head out on your scheduled departure, traveling to this colonial city on Borneo's coast.
- Day 2
Kuching
After landing in Kuching, you'll transfer to your hotel and settle in. Depending on when you arrive, there's time to walk along the Sarawak River promenade or wander through Chinatown on your own, poking around the shops and streets at your pace.

- Day 3
Bako National Park
You'll drive to Bako National Park, Sarawak's smallest and oldest park, then take a boat for the final stretch. Once there, you'll look for proboscis monkeys, long-tailed macaques, silver leaf monkeys, monitor lizards, and bearded pigs, plus carnivorous pitcher plants. Back in Kuching by afternoon.

Semenggoh Orangutan Center and Lemanak Longhouse
Morning at Semenggoh Orangutan Center to see the animals up close. Then you'll pass through Serian market on the way to an Iban longhouse in Lemanak village. You'll tour the longhouse, learn about Iban culture and traditions, and watch traditional dances before staying the night there.

Lemanak to Kuching
Spend the morning around the village or take a swim in the river if you'd like. Your Iban hosts will teach you how to use a traditional blowpipe. After lunch together, you'll travel back to Kuching by boat and bus, then check into your hotel for the night.

Kuching to Mulu National Park
You'll fly to Mulu and head into the national park's jungle. Hike to Lang Cave to see its stalactite formations, then explore Deer Cave with the world's largest cave entrance. At dusk, you'll watch millions of bats pour out of the cave. Stay near Mulu Park Headquarters.

Mulu National Park
A longboat takes you to Wind Cave, known for its tall stalactites and stalagmites. Next, you'll visit Clearwater Cave and its long underground water system, where you can swim in natural pools. Back at your lodge, you'll climb a treetop walkway 25 meters up for canopy views. The rest of the day is yours to relax.

Mulu to Kota Kinabalu
Fly from Mulu to Kota Kinabalu today. Use the afternoon to stroll through town, check out a market, and grab a drink on the waterfront promenade while watching the sunset. You'll stay at your hotel overnight.

Kinabalu National Park
Drive to Kinabalu National Park and hike through forest to see Borneo's plants like orchids, ferns, and Rafflesia flowers. Continue to Kundasang village to visit the vegetable market. Evening is free to rest and settle in.

Kundasang to Sepilok
Drive east through jungle, plantations, and small villages. You'll stop at Poring hot springs before heading to Sepilok village. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, and you might see orangutans in the area since they're often spotted nearby.

Sepilok
Morning at Sepilok Orangutan Center to see the protected animals, and then next door to Borneo Sun Bear Center where injured bears are cared for. In the afternoon, drive to Rainforest Discovery Centre and walk the elevated treetop path for jungle canopy views.

Kinabatangan River
You'll drive to a lodge right on the Kinabatangan River's edge. In the afternoon, take a river safari looking for proboscis monkeys and other primates active at dusk. Keep watch for elephants, hornbills, and other birds too. Spend the night listening to rainforest sounds.

Kinabatangan River
Wake early for the best wildlife spotting. You'll head out on a morning boat trip through the mist searching for Borneo pygmy elephants and other animals. Back at the lodge for breakfast, then another afternoon river safari to continue looking for wildlife.

Kinabatangan River to Sandakan
After breakfast and checkout, head by boat to Bilit Jetty and drive to Sandakan. Stop at Labuk Bay to see proboscis monkeys and possibly hornbills and monitor lizards. In Sandakan, explore the central market and Buddhist temple, then check into your hotel.
