You'll arrive in Salt Lake City, positioned between the Wasatch Range and the Great Salt Lake. At 6:00 PM, meet your Travel Director and fellow travelers at a Welcome Dinner with wine to kick things off.

- Day 2
Salt Lake City to Jackson
Start by checking out the State Capitol building, then head out of Salt Lake City through Logan Canyon and over the Wasatch Mountain Range to Bear Lake Summit. You'll stop for lunch in Garden City with views of Bear Lake's turquoise waters, and continue north along the Oregon Trail to Jackson. The town's famous elk antler arches and boutique galleries are nearby, and your hotel sits within walking distance of the Town Square.

Jackson to Yellowstone National Park
Wake up to views of the Grand Tetons rising 6,562 feet from the valley. An optional scenic float down the Snake River through Grand Teton National Park is available if you want it. You'll then enter Yellowstone and stay at National Park Lodges to experience the park after hours. Keep watch for black bears and wolves as you settle in for the night.

- Day 4
Yellowstone National Park
Take things at a relaxed pace this morning, walking through Yellowstone's rainbow-tinted hot springs and mud pots with your Travel Director. Watch Old Faithful shoot water over 120 feet into the air. In the afternoon, head to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, then drive through Hayden Valley looking for wolves, bears, elk and bison. The evening is yours to relax.

Yellowstone to UCross Ranch
Travel through Shoshone Canyon and the Absaroka Rocky Mountains to Cody, a Wild West town. Visit the Buffalo Bill Center of the West to see Western art, firearms and natural history exhibits. Continue through Bighorn National Forest to UCross Ranch, where you'll start with cocktails in the historic Ranch House bar, followed by home-cooked dinner and an evening fire pit with live country, folk and bluegrass music.

UCross Ranch to Spearfish Canyon
Choose between a scenic horseback ride with a Ranch Hand, fishing, or relaxing on the ranch. Later, travel to Devils Tower, a geological feature considered sacred to the Lakota and other tribes. Then head to Spearfish Canyon, famous for its woodland beauty and limestone palisades carved by creeks, formations that are more ancient than the Grand Canyon.

Black Hills to Custer State Park
Cross the high plains where you might spot pronghorn antelope, the fastest mammal in North America. Visit Badlands National Park, which covers 244,000 acres of sharply eroded buttes, pinnacles and spires mixed with the largest protected mixed grass prairie in America. Continue to Custer State Park with its beautiful landscape and a famous herd of 1,500 free-roaming bison.

You'll ascend 563 feet for a close-up view not available to the general public. End with a Celebration Dinner with wine, reflecting on your journey across America's national parks.

Make your way independently to Union Station early for a coach transfer to the Rocky Mountaineer train. You'll depart Denver crossing the Continental Divide, taking in views of rugged canyons and the Colorado River through panoramic windows. The staff will provide commentary and service throughout. Arrive at the resort town of Glenwood Springs for an overnight stay.

Another day brings inspiring sights as you travel across the Colorado-Utah border with mountain views, red sandstone landscapes and occasional wildlife like pronghorn. Approach Moab, the gateway to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Transfer to your hotel this afternoon with the rest of the day free.
