Höxter
You'll arrive in Höxter and get settled at your hotel, then pick up your rental bikes for the week ahead. The town itself is worth a walk around, with over 700 half-timbered houses creating that classic German charm. The historic town hall is right there to see, and there's a parking lot near your hotel if you need it later.

Höxter to Bad Karlshafen
This morning you start cycling through the countryside, heading toward the former Benedictine monastery at Bursfelde. You'll check out the open-air mill museum there, then continue pedaling to Bad Karlshafen. The route covers about 55 km and takes you through some nice rural landscape along the way.

Bad Karlshafen to Bevern
Today's ride takes you through the Solling area, which is the second largest contiguous forest in northern Germany. You'll pass by Fürstenberg Castle, which is known for its porcelain manufactory, and stop at Corvey Monastery. By the end of the day you'll reach Bevern Castle, one of the most significant Weser Renaissance structures around. The cycling distance is approximately 59 km.

Bevern to Rinteln

After that, you'll enter Hameln, famous for the Pied Piper story, then head through flatter paths toward the Weser Mountains and finish in Rinteln. This stage covers around 56 km of mixed terrain.

Rinteln to Minden
Pedaling continues to Bad Oeynhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia's only state spa with the Jordansprudel, the world's largest carbonated thermal spring. From there you cycle through Porta Westfalica where the Weser cuts through mountain valleys, then arrive in Minden. The town has several museums including ones focused on coffee, Prussia, buttons, and dolls. The route is about 41 km, so a shorter day on the bikes.

Verden to Bremen
Cycling toward Bremen, you'll pass a stork care station along the way. Once in the city, you might run into the Bremen Town Musicians statue or at least see the famous bronze sculpture at the town hall. The distance is approximately 56 km for this stage.

- Day 9
Bremen to Brake
You continue toward Cuxhaven with the Lower Weser landscape changing around you. Stop in Brake to visit the maritime museum in the telegraph tower, which has ship models, nautical instruments, and tools from sailmakers and shipbuilders. This visit gives you a good sense of the shipping history in this region. The ride is about 52 km.

- Day 10
Brake to Bremerhaven
Today you cycle under dike protection through lush green meadows with cattle and sheep grazing. The coastal atmosphere starts becoming clearer with fresh sea air, salt smells, and seagulls around. You can make an optional detour with a ferry to Wilhelmshaven if you're interested. Check out the Schaufenster Fischereihafen in Bremerhaven, a cultural center with shops, handicrafts, restaurants, and a sea fish cooking studio. This shorter stage is approximately 32 km.
