Itinerary
- Day 1
Amman
You'll get picked up from the airport and transferred to your hotel in Amman. After settling in, the rest of the evening is open for you to do what you'd like. If you're up for it, the downtown souqs are nearby and worth a wander through if you want to get a feel for the city right away.

- Day 2
Amman
This is a full day exploring Amman with a guide. You'll start at the Citadel, then move on to the National Archaeological Museum and the Roman Theatre, which dates back to the 2nd century. Later you'll check out the New Jordan Museum to learn more about the region's history. The afternoon takes you to the western side of the city where there are malls, restaurants, and cafes if you want to grab lunch or just walk around.

- Day 3
Amman to Jerash to Aljoun
You're heading out from Amman to Jerash, where there's a whole Graeco-Roman city to see including the colonnaded street and amphitheatre. From there, you'll go to Aljoun Forest Reserve for a three-hour hike through oak, pistachio, and strawberry trees up to Eagle's Point, which has really nice views. After descending to the village of Orjan, you'll visit a soap house where local women make pure olive oil soap the traditional way.

- Day 4
Aljoun to Azraq
Start at the Roman and Byzantine ruins of Um al-Jimal, then drive to Shaumari Wildlife Reserve. You'll spend three hours on a safari drive through this 22 km² area looking for Arabian Oryx and Persian Onager, using binoculars to spot birds like Imperial Eagles and Egyptian Vultures. There's a falconry display and your guide will teach you animal tracking basics. You'll also visit the Oryx breeding enclosure before heading to Azraq Lodge for the night.

Azraq to Dana
Begin with a short hike around Azraq Wetland Reserve where you might spot migratory birds and water buffalo. Then you'll see Qasr Azraq, a historic desert castle that's been around since Roman times and sits right at the only freshwater oasis for 12,000 square miles. Later you'll travel to Dana, a 500-year-old village that overlooks the Wadi Dana Gorge.

- Day 6
Dana to Feynan Eco Lodge
Spend the day trekking through Dana, which is Jordan's largest nature reserve. You'll meet local Bedouin farmers with their goats and watch for Nubian Ibex and Syrian Serin birds. The trek covers 14km through four different biosphere zones, from mountains to desert, and you'll end up at Feynan Eco Lodge for the night.

Feynan Eco Lodge to Petra
After checking out Roman ruins at Feynan this morning, you'll head to Siq Al Barid, also called Little Petra. You'll walk through a narrow passage similar to Petra's main Siq and see temples and rock-cut stairs with Nabatean paintings. Next is Beidha, a stone age village over 9,000 years old and one of the world's earliest permanent settlements. By evening you'll be in Petra.

- Day 8
Petra
Today you're exploring Petra. You'll walk down the narrow Siq to reach Al-Khazneh, the Treasury, and then explore the Street of Facades. There's a Byzantine Museum and Theatre that once held 8,500 people. If you're up for it, you can climb 800 steps to the Monastery, which is even larger than the Treasury and has great views.

- Day 9
Petra to Wadi Rum
Early morning trek to the High Place of Sacrifice for incredible views of the Treasury and surroundings. In the afternoon, you'll transfer to Wadi Rum and go on a 4x4 safari across the red desert with its rock formations and dunes. You'll reach the desert campsite in time to watch the sunset, have traditional Jordanian dinner, and sleep under the stars.

- Day 10
Wadi Rum to Karak to Madaba to Mt Nebo to Dead Sea
Leave the desert and head to the Crusader Castle at Karak. Then you'll go to Madaba to see the 6th-century mosaic map of the Middle East in St George Church, plus the Madaba Museum and Archaeological Park. Later you'll stop at Mt Nebo for views over the Holy Land before descending to the Dead Sea.

Dead Sea
This day is yours to relax at the Dead Sea. You can float in the mineral-rich waters (the buoyancy is pretty unusual) and get a therapeutic mud bath whenever you feel like it.
