Aswan
You'll arrive in Aswan where your tour representative meets you at the airport. First stop is the High Dam, an engineering feat that's worth seeing up close. After that, head to Philae Temple, which sits on an island and has some really interesting history behind it. Once you're back on the Nile cruise, lunch and dinner are included on board. There's afternoon tea service around 4pm, and the evening wraps up with a disco party to get everyone in the mood for the week ahead.

Back on the cruise by midday, and then you'll sail to Kom Ombo. The double temple there is unusual because it was built for two different gods. Later you'll continue sailing toward Edfu, arriving by evening for the night.

After landing, you'll cross to the west bank where the real exploration begins. The Valley of Kings holds over 60 pharaoh tombs carved into the mountains, and walking through these ancient burial chambers really puts things in perspective. From there, check out the Temple of Hatshepsut, an impressive mortuary temple built into the cliffs, and then swing by the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues that have stood here for thousands of years. By early afternoon around 2pm, you'll get dropped off at Luxor Train Station, the airport, or back to your hotel depending on where you need to be.
