  This was our first self-guided walking tour and we had a wonderful time! Most everything went very smoothly and we were quite pleased with the hotels, meals, baggage transport, etc. The scenery was breathtaking (in every sense!). The only thing we felt could be improved was the trail guidebook. While it included many interesting details, we found the instructions quite confusing at times and the gps signal also tended to bounce around in places, so we did take a few unexpected detours. Of course those are the adventures we can laugh about now! But this is the one reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I would certainly travel with this company again.Show more

  Dear Melissa, Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you have enjoyed the tour. As far as the "poorly managed situation" is concerned I need to provide our point of view too. Already before the tour started you was explicitly (!) advised that the main part of your travel documents (incl. maps) will be delivered in a welcome package to your first tour accommodation, where you only need to request them on checking in. For unknown reason you decided to leave on the tour on the next day without these documents, blaming the hotel they didn't give the package to you, which was not correct (it is not hotel's responsibility to ask you to store your luggage at the reception ready for the bags transfer either). There are simple responsibilities a person should look after when travelling unguided (like getting their documents for example, which represent an essential part of their navigation information, and only await collection from the hotel's reception). We exchanged a few emails then (the customer support has been excellent!), asking you to contact our local partners as they are the ones who handle the logistics on spot (they would have been able to propose the most adequate and fast way to get a substitute set of documents). You refused to do that. We also suggested to take a taxi from your second accommodation to the first in order to take the documents (which is only 15min ride), which you refused to do as well. Unfortunately there was no magical way to transfer the package to your second accommodation. I still hope this didn't spoil your overall impression of the tour as we sent GPS tracks of trails and a copy of the roadbook by email before the tour started, so navigation was still easy.   Everything about this experience was top notch! First, the area: stunningly beautiful. The hikes have great options for the kinds of days you want to earn your desserts to the kinds of days you want to recover and still have dessert. Being in the area also taught me so much about the local history and I was astounded at how much I didn't know that I didn't know. Second, the customer service of the company: excellent! First, the patience they had with me. They had sent me the information and route GPS coordinates, and I just didn't see the email. So, they pointed me in the right direction. Here's the big one: I booked the tour just outside of tourist season. They helped me through the process and made sure the hotels and food options were all still available. When one hotel was not able to provide a meal, they informed me and reimbursed me the cost of that meal. Third, the extras: I loved having my luggage picked up and dropped off from hotel to hotel. And it was as easy as picking up my tour package at the first hotel and putting the provided tags on my luggage. The hotels were what you would expect from very small towns in the off season, but there were no problems with any of them. I think I even said "Man, this bed is way comfier than it looks" every time. I can't think of any points to offer for improvement. The tour provided my fiancee and I such a wonderful experience, and I am certain this will not be our last tour with Tourradar.Show more

  We had the most amazing week on this trek. The hikes we took were mostly the coastal route but we did a few mountain routes as well. They are planned well and the gps maps were very helpful, the hotels were good and clean although hotel Beri had no air conditioning so that night was hard to sleep. The towns were simply perfect, the secluded beaches out of a dream. The luggage arrived at our hotels in perfect condition every day and we ate wonderful food. Would so it again.Show more

  Visited as a group of 5 friends. We specifically chose this walk for the different options it provided. Some of us were fitter than the rest and mostly went for the mountainous trails, while the rest of us enjoyed coastal trails at the same time. We had our time together in the afternoons and evenings though, sharing impressions and beers :-) The backup in terms of hotels, transfers and route documents were excellent.Show more

  A big thank you for organizing such an amazing holiday for our big family. This tour matched exactly our needs and the itinerary was flexible enough to keep each of us entertained on a daily basis. The biggest merit, except for the beautiful region itself, is that one can choose between an easier (coastal) hike and a slightly more difficult option, following the ridges of the Pyrenees. The accommodations, food, route notes and luggage transfers were faultless. I can highly recommend this tour, and if possible go there early spring or in fall when it is not too hot.Show more
