We would like to book a one-week sail trip. This would be our first sailing experience, and we're keen to learn and discover what it's like. We are a couple, both 32 years old, and looking for a trip that fits well with beginners while still being an authentic sailing experience. What would you recommend for us?

For Saturday, 25 April 2026, we can recommend a beginner-friendly week in Greece (Peloponnese). It's a great area to learn the basics (sailing, simple maneuvers, life on board) while still having a proper sailing adventure with beautiful anchor bays and harbor towns. Do you prefer a trip where the onboard language is German or English? German-speaking trips are available on 25 April. Our more international / English-speaking trips usually start from end of May onwards.

I would be turning 80 years old in August. Are you maintaining a cancellation list for shared cabin this Athens-Mykonos-Athens trip?

We do not have a Athens-Mykonos-Athens gulet cruise. We use normal sailing boats or 4cabin catamarans. Also, unfortunately the age difference is a bit too high.

I am 53 and very active... can I join the sailing trip? I also speak greek/ English and I have a sailing license and can help out.

You can join our "forever young" sailing trip starting at age 40. It is open for everyone, but the main board language is german. Of course everyone speaks english these days but especially when doing maneuvers it could be challenging. I just want to point this put to give you clear expectations. Is this okay for you?

What are the accomidations like, bed size etc? Is it shared. What is the bathroom/shower situation? How does food work on the yacht? What are the full expected costs? How many other people are there? What is electricity like on the yacht?

Each guest sleeps in their own cabin, which is typically shared if you book as a pair. Solo travelers are paired with another person of the same gender in a double cabin. Beds are usually double-sized berths (not quite as wide as a regular double bed, but cozy). Bathrooms (toilets and showers) are shared among the guests on board – usually 2 to 3 bathrooms per yacht, depending on the size. Food is self-organized – we all pitch in together. Usually, we take turns cooking, and sometimes we stop at ports to eat at local restaurants, depending on everyone's preferences and budget. Meals on board are fun, social, and part of the whole sailing experience! During high season, the cost is around €870 per person. In addition, you should plan for a shared onboard budget of €200–300 for the week. We usually sail with yachts that have 3 to 6 cabins, so in total, that's about 6 to 12 people on board. Most trips are with 8 to 10 guests. There is electricity on the boat! When we're docked in a marina, the yacht can be plugged into shore power, so you can charge devices just like at home. While sailing or anchored, power comes from the boat's batteries, charged by the engine or solar panels. You can still charge phones and smaller devices via USB or 12V outlets, but high-energy devices like hairdryers usually only work when docked and connected to shore power.

I'm interested in booking my spot. I have a few questions: 1. What type of sailing boat do you operate and what are the sleeping arrangements? Do I get a cabin to myself as a solo traveler or is it a sharing cabin? 2. Typically what are the ages of the groups on your trips?

We try to have balanced crews with similar ages and gender distribution. You share the cabin with a person of the same sex. It is possible to book a single cabin with a 90% surcharge. We normally sail with 4 cabin yachts, so with around 8 people on one boat.

Will there be a way to get to the shore and enjoy the shore while other travelers swim?

Yes there is a way we can work this out. Your friend can be either dropped of with the sailing-yacht on the shore or he can take the small motorboat (Dingi) to the shore.
