- Around the Wendelstein: On the penultimate day comes a hike up the well-known German mountain -the Wendelstein. The circular trail to the summit features a chapel and weather observatory. The goal is the Wendelstein cave with its underground passages. An experience for young and old!
- Rustic mountain huts and hearty meals: What’s the highlight of every hike? The huts and restaurants, of course! They are to Bavaria as sand is to the sea. Delicious fragrant cakes, bread with obazda and delicious ‘Scheiterhaufen’ with lots of cinnamon and raisins. The children’s eyes will be gleaming!

- Thomas· May 18th, 2024Highly recommend this trip. The days can be long but the views are worth it. Most of the route is paved so you can probably get away with hiking shoes or trail running shoes. There is luggage transfer available but I didn't need it. The route from Unken to Waidring could be updated but I was able to find an alternate route with the map. Before you start you're given the full itinerary with a navigation system on the app as well as paper copies of everything.Show more
- Aidar· March 24th, 2025Well organized, no hiccups, beautiful scenery, good exercise (!), great hotels. I've enjoyed the trip quite a lot, there's nothing much to add here, really. One minor thing is that there was a bus pickup location specified towards the end of one of the hikes, it would've been nice to get picked up given you're in unfamiliar territory rather than fumbling your way around and hoping you get on the right bus and go where you're supposed to.Show more
