- Day 1
Zagreb
You'll arrive in Zagreb and head to your hotel to get settled. After dropping off your bags, take a walk along the Stross Promenade if you feel like it, which gives you those first impressions of the city. This evening you'll meet up with your Travel Director and other travelers for a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.

Zagreb
This morning you'll explore Zagreb's layout with your Local Expert. You'll drive through the Lower Town to see the grand squares, check out the Mimara Art Museum, and pass by Ban Josip Jelacic Square before reaching the cathedral. Then ride the funicular up to the medieval Upper Town and walk through the charming streets, past the former Presidential Palace, Stone Gate, St. Mark's Church, and Lotrscak Tower. The afternoon is free to rest at your hotel or wander around on your own.

Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes
Spend your morning relaxing at the hotel. In the afternoon, you'll drive to Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Croatia's largest national park. The landscape here includes forests and grasslands, but the real draw is the cascading interconnected lakes that make the park so special.

Trogir - Split
At Plitvice you'll pick one of two experiences through Insight Choice. Either join a guided walk through the park's forest paths alongside the 16 interconnecting lakes, or visit the park's viewpoint and learn about local folklore at the Tara Community Centre. Later you'll travel along the coast to Trogir, a historic town founded by Greeks over 2,300 years ago with a notable cathedral and Renaissance Cipiko Palace. From there you'll continue on to Split.

Split
You'll explore Split's Old Town where Roman Emperor Diocletian built his palace 1,700 years ago. Going down into the ancient palace cellars with your Local Expert, you'll learn about the emperor's history. Then walk through the narrow winding streets and arcaded squares to see St. Duje's Church, the Temple of Jupiter, and the Golden Gate. By evening you'll head along the Dalmatian coast toward Dubrovnik, passing rocky islands and sparkling blue waters.

Dubrovnik
You'll walk through Dubrovnik's Old Town with your Local Expert, exploring the 16th century stone-paved streets. Along the way you'll see the Old Jewish Quarter and synagogue, Onofrio's Fountain, the cathedral, and the Franciscan and Dominican monasteries. If weather cooperates, you'll take an evening cruise around the bay to see the Adriatic and the city walls from the water. Dinner starts with grappa, and you'll try local specialties paired with locally produced wine.

Kotor - Budva
You'll stop in Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and take in the bay with its clear blue waters and medieval towns along the coastline. Then continue along the Adriatic to Budva, where you'll check out the medieval old town and see religious sites including the 9th century Church of Santa Maria in Punta.

Tirana
You'll travel through Montenegro and Albania's spectacular scenery to reach Tirana. Explore the city with your Local Expert, discovering Ottoman, Italian, and communist-era buildings and sites. You'll meet a local resident who will walk you through the city, show you Skanderbeg Square, and share what it's like living in the Albanian capital. Tonight you'll have a traditional dinner at a local restaurant.

Corfu
You have the full day to yourself on Corfu. Head to the Old Town to see its mix of Roman, Venetian, French, and British architecture, each layer reflecting different periods before the island joined Greece. Or relax at one of the beaches, or take a cruise around the island for different views of the coastline.

Delphi
You'll leave Corfu for Delphi, a spectacular site perched on a cliff that once served as the center of the ancient world. The location has deep historical roots with artifacts going back to 4,000 B.C. and Mycenaean settlement remains. According to legend, this is where two eagles released by Zeus from opposite ends of the world crossed paths to mark 'the navel of the world.'

Athens
You'll climb Delphi's Sacred Way with your Local Expert, passing the Parian marble Treasury of the Athenians and the Polygonal Wall with its perfectly fitted interlocking stones. You'll reach the Temple of Apollo, where the Oracle of Delphi spoke her mysterious prophecies for 14 centuries, reportedly predicting events about the Argonauts and the Trojan War. Then you'll drive to Athens for the evening, where you'll toast the end of your vacation at a Celebration Dinner with wine and Greek style atmosphere at a local restaurant.

Mykonos (Cruise Departure)
You'll board your cruise ship and sail to Mykonos with its white sugar cube houses and whitewashed windmills. Spend the evening walking through the winding streets, checking out tavernas, and experiencing the nightlife. Late at night the ship sails across the Aegean toward Turkey. Onboard you'll have breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, plus a complimentary drinks package with alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and hot drinks.

You'll dock at Kusadasi and visit the ancient ruins of Ephesus, a Greco-Roman site and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walking the Arcadian Way with your Local Expert, you'll see the Library of Celsus, the Amphitheatre, and the House of the Virgin Mary. In the afternoon you'll sail to Patmos, where St. John the Divine was exiled, then later the cruise heads toward Crete.

You'll dock at Heraklion in Crete and visit the ruins of King Minos' Palace of Knossos with your Local Expert. Later the ship sails beneath Santorini's sheer cliffs, and you'll explore Thira with its clifftop restaurants, cafes, and views. By evening you'll sail back toward Athens.
