I recommend budgeting for all of the optional extras as they were all fantastic (check the weather forecast before signing up for the marine safari) I don’t think it would have been quite the same without doing all the game drives - most people did almost all of them. The tour manager was super knowledgeable and was always happy to answer questions about South Africa or any of the animals we saw. He did his best to make sure we all had a great time. The accomodation was all great, and they all had a pool (don’t bring a big suitcase, the tents in Kruger were comfortable but very small!)Show more

  I'm actually 53 years old. Does that mean I'm not eligible to participate? Are those group activities such as a guided hike, helicopter tour and sunset cruise included in the price shown?

  Contiki pricing is indeed per person. For couples traveling together, you'll be accommodated in a twin room with a double bed, but you can also request two single beds if that's your preference.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 23rd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 23rd, 2026, a minimum payment of $200 is required to confirm your booking with Contiki. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
