    Managua

    You'll land in Managua and get picked up from the airport. Your driver takes you straight to the hotel, so just settle in and get ready for the week ahead.

  2. Day 2

    Managua - León

    After breakfast, head to Tiscapa Crater Lake where you can see pre-Columbian remains and get views over the city. Then walk through Managua's historical center, checking out the National Museum and old colonial buildings. Spend some time relaxing by the lakefront before driving to León in the afternoon. Once there, you'll tour the historic León Viejo ruins, walking through colonial foundations and restored buildings, and finish at a hilltop viewpoint.

    This morning you're on foot exploring León, wandering through colonial streets and churches, and poking around local markets. The main thing is climbing up León Cathedral to the top for city views, plus visiting the Ortiz Gurdian Museum. Your afternoon is free to do whatever you feel like.

    Start the morning in a horse-drawn carriage touring Granada's old quarter, passing the San Francisco Convent and La Merced church. You'll climb the bell tower for city views and see Xalteva church and the old city walls. Lunch is on your own with suggestions from your guide. In the afternoon, take a boat tour around the Las Isletas archipelago looking for birds, monkeys, and interesting plants.

Stop at a coffee plantation for tasting, then do some mild hiking to the top. Afterward, drive to San Jorge and take a ferry to Isla de Ometepe for hotel check-in.

For tours departing after April 13th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Agate Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
