Itinerary
- Day 1
Arusha
Start your morning at the Clock Tower in Arusha's city center, then walk over to Maasai Market where you can browse local crafts and goods. From there, head to the Arusha Declaration monument and its museum to learn about Tanzania's political history. By midday, wander through the central market to check out African spices, fresh produce, and local ingredients. You'll get a sense of the city's rhythm here, and it's a good spot to grab lunch if you're hungry. Later in the afternoon, take a look at the city bus terminal to see how locals get around, then make your way to the Cultural Heritage Centre for some shopping. If you're interested, there's an option to visit Snake Park where you can see snakes, birds, crocodiles, and tortoises up close. Before heading back to your hotel, you might also explore a Maasai boma to get a feel for traditional pastoral life in the region.
