The tour guides of both Scotland and Ireland were great and knowledgeable. Most of the hotels chosen were of high standards and of good value except for Muthu Newton Hotel which was quite run down internally and staff were unprofessional. Cannot say enough about this part of tour. Ireland was sadly lacking. Our tour guide seemed like he was not interested, the driver seemed irritated with the tour guide most of the time. The tours were lacking in substance, too much time on the freeway in the bus. (in Scotland we rarely traveled freeways, only smaller roads through the country) Issues with hotels that our tour guide said immediately "you know this is not my fault".
